MLB Betting Online: The Chicago Cubs are lapping the rest of the National League and will aim to get one step closer to wrapping up home field advantage when they face off with the Milwaukee Brewers. The start of their series will be on Monday, September 5th, 2016, at Miller Park in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
Even though the Cubs are on the road, they have the more established pitcher and offense, so it would be little surprise to see them emerge victorious in MLB gambling.

ODDS ANALYSIS
The Cubs have proven to be the best team in the major leagues this year, with a sparkling 85-47 record and an even more impressive plus-222 run differential. The offense was supposed to be good but the starting pitching has exceeded expectations, and it has turned Chicago into a powerhouse.
Expectations were low for the Brewers to start the year and they haven’t done anything to change that. Milwaukee has a record of 57-76 as it is in the midst of a rebuilding campaign.
PROBABLE PITCHERS
The Cubs are expected to send Kyle Hendricks to the mound. He has been a revelation this season, as the former middle-rotation starter has looked like an ace.
Hendricks is 13-7 with a sparkling 2.09 ERA and 0.98 WHIP. Hendricks isn’t the dominant flamethrower like his rotation-mate Jake Arrieta but he has been super effective. Hendricks will aim to keep it rolling against a poor Brewers offense.
Milwaukee will counter with Zach Davies. The young right-hander is 10-6 with a 4.07 ERA and a 1.17 WHIP. Davies has a nice combination of strikeout ability and control, which should serve him well in his career.
LIVE BETTING
The Cubs have one of the most well-rounded offenses in the major leagues, and they feature two fearsome hitters in the middle of it. Kris Bryant and Anthony Rizzo are both in the discussion for league MVP, while Dexter Fowler, Ben Zobrist, Addison Russell, Wilson Contreras and Javier Baez are all impressive pieces.
The Brewers aren’t nearly as strong in the batter’s box. Ryan Braun is the stat but Milwaukee has scored 130 fewer runs than the Cubs this season.
QUICK PICK
The Cubs are the easy choice. They have a loaded lineup and a pitcher who is currently playing out of his mind. Hendricks may not be your prototypical ace but he has been dominant the entire season, and there’s little reason to think that will change against the Brewers.
Davies is a promising young pitcher and it wouldn’t be a surprise to see him keep this game close early, as the Cubs don’t have a lot of experience against him. However, it’s very tough to keep this lineup down for long. Expect Chicago to slowly pull away and capture this road win.
