The Indians will look to keep building upon one of the greatest runs in franchise history while at the same time bury another team Saturday afternoon when they host the Yankees in the third game of the teams extended weekend series.

ODDS ANALYSIS

The Yankees simply just haven’t had it this season. The team is littered with an enormous amount of veteran players being paid big money that’s prevented upper management from improving the team. But when you sign players to ridiculous contracts like the ones Mark Teixeira and Alex Rodriguez signed, this is the end result. NY currently sits a game under .500 after splitting its first two games with the White Sox earlier in the week. It’s a .428 team on the road whose only series win as a visitor over the last five weeks came at Minnesota against the wretched Twins.

Though the Tribe saw its franchise record win streak recently snapped in Toronto, fans of the team have got to love what they’re currently seeing. They just won the series with Detroit on Tuesday night to build their lead atop the AL Central to 7.5 games, while at the same time improved upon their dominating 25-12 record as a host that’s put over $900 worth of profit in their supporter’s pockets. Cleveland has won 10 of 18 versus the AL East this season, and had won 13 straight as a host heading into Wednesday’s series finale with Detroit.

PROBABLE PITCHERS

It’ll be CC Sabathia’s turn to take to the hill in this one with the hefty lefty looking to turn the page on three straight poor starts. The big man looked to have turned his career around from the end of April to the middle of June, but he’s been ripped by the Rockies, Rangers and White Sox in his last three starts for 23 hits and 16 ER over just 17.1 combined innings. He also gave up four long balls in those starts, but has been at his best on the road where he owns a 2.81 ERA and .224 batting average against. This could be one of the final times he toes the bump in his old stomping grounds in Cleveland.

Danny Salazar is the ace of the Tribe’s starting rotation. He leads the team in ERA (2.36), wins (10) and WHIP (1.14). On top of all that, he’s allowed just 26 ER in just under 100 total innings of work and logged 113 strikeouts – second to only Corey Kluber’s 114. The Tribe’s 11-5 in his 16 made starts, and he’s been at his best at home where he’s 5-1 with a 2.05 ERA and 0.99 WHIP. In two career starts against the Yankees, Salazar checks in 1-1 with a 3.75 ERA and .261 batting average against.

LIVE BETTING

This series will pit two of the better bullpens in the league against one another. NY’s was already pretty formidable with Dellin Betances, Andrew Miller and Aroldis Chapman in the backend, but it was just made a bit stronger with the demotion of Nathan Eovaldi and his 100 mph heat sent to the pen.

Cleveland is limiting all opposition to a .233 batting average against and Cody Allen has been nearly flawless in locking down 18 of his 20 overall save opportunities.

Look to live bet the under in the later stages of the game, especially if a crooked number hit the board early. Also look to bet the second half under as well.

QUICK PICK

While the return of Sabathia to Progressive Field will likely earn him a standing ovation before he throws his first pitch, the Tribe won’t hold back soon after. While only averaging 4.4 runs per game against lefties, Cleveland has won 16 of 25 against them and I don’t foresee them holding back one iota while Salazar has his way to log win No. 11 for the season.

MLB Odds: Indians 8, Yankees 1
