The Detroit Tigers are off to a good start to their season, and they'll hope to keep rolling right along on Sunday Night Baseball to finish up a weekend series with the New York Yankees.

You can bet on MLB odds at BookMaker.eu every day of the season.

ODDS ANALYSIS

Playing at home was tough for the Tigers last season. They only went 38-43, and they cost bettors 9.90 units for the totality of the season. The fact that they started off the year with a two-game mini-sweep of the Marlins was nice, but that series was on the road. This series against the Bronx Bombers will be the first at Comerica Park this year.

New York went 42-39 and +3.32 units in 2015 away from home.

PROBABLE PITCHERS

Neither Masahiro Tanaka nor Justin Verlander factored into the decisions from their first starts of the year, and both will be looking for win No. 1 on Sunday.

Both men tired at the end of their first starts for sure. Tanaka came out and said that fatigue was an issue, a real concern for a man who only threw 87 pitches over 5.2 innings of work. The Japanese star has had arm problems ever since he's come over to the States, and any time he looks or complains of fatigue, that isn't a good sign.

Verlander had a no-hitter going into the sixth against the Marlins before the wheels came off. He allowed just three hits and two walks over six total innings, but he ended up conceding three runs to wreck his day.

LIVE BETTING

We're only a couple games into the season, but we still haven't seen the Yanks at their best in their bullpen. Andrew Miller is just returning from a minor injury in the spring, and he has yet to pitch in a game this season, and the one time we saw Dellin Betances on the bump, he gave up three unearned runs.

It's also worth remembering that Aroldis Chapman is still on league suspension.

What's left is a bullpen that looks anything but sturdy. Betances wasn't throwing gas as we grew accustomed to seeing, it's anyone's guess whether Miller is truly ready to go or not, and the rest of this pen is nothing special.

John Barbato did strike out three in 1.1 perfect innings in his one appearance, but we know that isn't going to continue throughout the season.

QUICK PICK

Though Verlander still feels a little bit overrated to us at this point in his career, we really don't trust Tanaka either, especially just a handful of days after he complained of fatigue.

Detroit's bats are humming right out of the gates with 15 runs scored in two games without the use of the DH in the National League park, and that's a really good sign coming into this one. The Yankees could really be in some trouble if Tanaka doesn't get into at least the seventh inning of this one as weak as the middle of that bullpen appears to be.

Give us the Tigers, and give us the over as a secondary play so long as the wind isn't coming straight in off the Great Lakes on Sunday night in Motown.

MLB Odds: Tigers 6, Yankees 4
