In just a short amount of time, the Battle 4 Atlantis has become one of the premier tournaments in college basketball. Staged at one of the most beautiful locations in the Caribbean, teams and fans flock to Paradise Island in spite of it being held during Thanksgiving. It doesn’t hurt that the tournament gives $2 million for teams to come to the island for the three-day tournament. This year’s event will have two of the top teams in the country and six other contenders that will look to use this week on tournament resumes.
These games will take place at the Imperial Arena at Atlantis Paradise Island in Nassau, Bahamas. The Battle 4 Atlantis will play out from Wednesday, November 22 until Friday, November 24, 2017. We'll have NCAA basketball odds at BookMaker.eu available for every game in the Battle 4 Atlantis.

Villanova has a chance to become the first team to win this tournament twice. The Wildcats bested No. 2 Kansas and No. 23 Iowa on their way to the Battle 4 Atlantis Championship in 2013, and will look to have similar success this time around.
Purdue vs. Tennessee
The Boilermakers have made it look easy on their way to a 4-0 start. Purdue topped 100 points in three of its first four games and the one time it didn’t was on the road against Marquette. Isaac Haas and Vince Edwards have been fantastic in the frontcourt in the early going this season and have helped Purdue once again be one of the top rebounding teams in the country. Tennessee will have a hard time matching up against their size.
Rick Barnes is happy that his Tennessee Volunteers are playing in this tournament and not another one of the pre-season events. Barnes is the only coach to lose twice to NAIA Chaminade out at the Maui Invitational, accomplishing the feat with both Providence and Texas.
Tennessee is 2-0 to start the season and sleepwalked to victories against High Point and Presbyterian. Those teams don’t have the size that Purdue does though and the Vols will have to try to find a way to counter that.
Villanova vs. Western Kentucky
Almost everyone is gone from the Villanova team that won it all two years ago, but the Wildcats are still a very talented bunch and have a great coach in Jay Wright. Mikal Bridges and Jalen Brunson were both freshmen back in 2015-16 and are now the leaders of this year’s squad. Both guards are shooting the lights out this season and are the team’s two leading scorers.
Western Kentucky might be the weakest team at the Battle 4 Atlantis. The Hilltoppers lost their season opener to Missouri State and are not a deep team at all. They only play seven guys and that is going to kill them on the second and third days of this tournament. Keep that in mind.
Arizona vs. North Carolina State
Allonzo Trier has not let an ongoing FBI investigation slow him down. Trier is off to an amazing start with the Wildcats this season, averaging 30 points a night and hitting 70 percent of his field goals. With Trier playing like he is and seven-footers Deandre Ayton and Dusan Ristic patrolling the paint, this is going to be one of the best teams in the country provided they stay healthy.
Kudos to the Wolfpack for getting out to a 4-0 start and making it look easy without all-everything Dennis Smith. Transfer Torin Dorn has taken a big step forward in his second season in Raleigh, but has struggled from beyond the arc. That will need to change if NC State is going to pull off the upset.
SMU vs. Northern Iowa
The Panthers have played well since losing to North Carolina in their season opener. Their defense has been very stingy holding three straight opponents to 45 points or less. Also, the rebounding has been superb. Northern Iowa picked up at least 10 offensive rebounds in all three of those games.
Speaking of defense, SMU has held its last two opponents to a combined 72 points. The Mustangs were a bit off in their season opener against UMBC, but have been fine ever since then. Freshman Ethan Chargois has been great when he has been on the court, but has had some foul trouble this season. That’s an area Northern Iowa can exploit.
