The disappointing Georgetown Hoyas are probably going to end up being nothing but fodder for a big Senior Day celebration at The Pavilion on Saturday afternoon for the Villanova Wildcats.

SCHEDULING
Villanova really has nothing left to worry about this year aside from its seeding in the dance. At worst, the Wildcats will fall on the No. 2 line, and we have to think that getting to 29 wins and avoiding a bad defeat would be enough to at least state the case to be on the top line. Winning the Big East Tournament and finishing out the regular season with two wins would remove all doubt.
Sure, the Wildcats are going to be asked to lay a big number in this game, and live bettors will feel that pain of all of that chalk from the get go. However, from a motivation standpoint, there's no comparison between these two teams.
Georgetown has already wrapped up its home schedule, and you just have to wonder if a 90-87 loss at home to Butler in overtime signaled the de facto end of the portion of the schedule it cared at all about.
KEY MATCHUP
We just don't see answers for Daniel Ochefu and Kris Jenkins in this game. Georgetown's interior defense has been nothing to write home about all year, and though those two were at least modestly contained in the first meeting of the year, that was back in the middle of January when the Hoyas still felt like they had something to play for.
Time and time again, we see lesser teams fold under the pressure of playing on the road against the big boy teams, and when the bleeding starts, they just can't get it to stop. Villanova's play in the paint is second to none in the Big East because of the play of Ochefu and Jenkins, the former of which is a senior and will be hoping for a big sendoff.
If these two dominate in the paint as we suspect they will, there might not end up being such a thing as a bad time to live bet on Villanova.
KEY STATS & TRENDS
Georgetown's play of late has been abysmal, but it's tough fault it for all of its woes. The Hoyas had their Big East schedule completely back-loaded this year. In these last 10 games, they had to play against Providence twice, Butler twice, Seton Hall twice, Creighton and a non-conference game against UConn for good measure. Now comes road tests at Marquette and Villanova to finish the year. No wonder why this NCAAB team is just 2-8 SU and ATS since January 23.
Villanova seems to be respectable at home from a betting standpoint at 7-6 ATS, but here in Big East play, things haven't been rosy. Outside of the game against Xavier, the Wildcats are going to end up laying double-digits against everyone else in the conference at home, and they've ended up at just 1-5 ATS in those six games thus far laying double-digits.
Live bettors though, should love the way the Wildcats are playing on offense. They've scored at least 77 points in four games in a row, all four of which have made it past the total. Of course, the fact that one of the best defensive teams in the nation in terms of points per possession allowed has given up 169 points in its last two is concerning, though this game against Georgetown is far different than roadies against Xavier and Marquette.
