The Michigan State Spartans have not looked good over their last few outings. Michigan State was seen as a potential Final Four team just a few weeks ago and many considered Tom Izzo’s squad the favorite to win the Big Ten. However, the Spartans have collapsed over their last three games and are looking increasingly vulnerable. We’ll see whether or not they can bounce back when they take on the Indiana Hoosiers this week. Indiana would love to get a win over the Spartans on the road. That would really boost its resume.
This war on the floor will go down Friday, January 19, 2018, at 7 p.m. ET at the Breslin Center in East Lansing, Michigan. The game will be televised live on FS1. We'll have NCAA basketball odds at BookMaker.eu available for this and every game on the college basketball Friday schedule.

Indiana has performed very well in recent weeks, unlike Michigan State. The Hoosiers have covered in each of their last three games and won in each of those. Additionally, they have won and covered in five of their last six.
Under has been a good bet in Indiana games in recent weeks. The under has hit in five of the team’s last six. The one over only went over the number by one point too.
Michigan State was fantastic heading into the start of Big Ten play. However, this team has not been good over its last three. It lost by double digits as a favorite against Michigan and Ohio State and nearly lost as a 22-point underdog against Rutgers.
Over has been a great bet in Michigan State home games. Nine of the Spartans’ 11 home games have gone over the total.
Key Stat
This Spartans squad should not be struggling this badly. They are one of the best shooting teams in the nation, but have not proven it in recent weeks. As a whole, Michigan State is hitting 51.7 percent of its field goals and 41.1 percent of its threes. Those are really great totals for any team in the country.
The last time we saw the Spartans, they were committing turnovers seemingly every time they went up and down the court. Michigan State had a stunning 18 turnovers against in-state rival Michigan over the weekend and that was the main factor in the loss. The Wolverines had just seven turnovers and that led to Michigan getting the win despite shooting worse.
Player to Watch
It’s all about Juwan Morgan for the Hoosiers at this point. Morgan has been the most impressive player on the team and leads Indiana in a number of categories. He has been a solid shooter, hitting 59.3 percent of his shots. However, the problem has been his perimeter shooting. Although he can’t hit the three, he still tries it too much. Morgan is just 26.9 percent from downtown on the year.
Morgan is going to have to elevate his game over the last half of the season. His frontcourt partner De’Ron Davis is hurt and out for the rest of the year, putting even more pressure on him. He will be asked to hold his own against the Spartans’ formidable frontcourt.

Indiana is on a three-game conference winning streak and manhandled Northwestern on Sunday. The Hoosiers seem to be turning the corner as a team, but it’s only a matter of time before the Spartans once again become the team we expect to see.
Michigan State is just more talented than Indiana. The Spartans are going to be able to dominate the Hoosiers in the frontcourt and should have a healthy rebounding advantage. The only thing holding them back is themselves. If they can limit turnovers and silly mistakes, Michigan State will roll.
College Basketball Odds: Michigan State 82, Indiana 70
