The Kansas State Wildcats are looking to get a nice non-conference win before they start Big 12 play. Kansas State did knock off Vanderbilt earlier in the year, but fell by two to Arizona State and lost to Tulsa as well. It’s been four years since the Wildcats had a winning record in conference so they know that every win outside of the Big 12 is important. In the last part of a tripleheader on Wednesday night, they will be taking on the Washington State Cougars and trying to get that 10th win.
This war on the floor will go down Tuesday, December 20, 2017, at 11 p.m. ET at Friel Court in Pullman, Washington. The game will be televised live on ESPN2. We'll have NCAA basketball odds at BookMaker.eu available for this and every game on the college basketball Tuesday schedule.

The Wildcats have had a very hard time covering the number this season. Kansas State did cover against Vanderbilt, winning outright as a short underdog, but is just 1-6 ATS as a favorite this season. Over has been a good bet as of late in Wildcats games though and the over is 3-1 in Kansas State games this year.
Washington State has not made the NCAA Tournament in a decade and has not won the PAC 12 in 76 years. The Cougars are off to a great start this season though and turned a lot of heads when they won the Wooden Legacy Tournament. They were underdogs to St. Joseph’s, Saint Mary’s, and San Diego State, but won all three games outright to claim the tournament’s crown.
Unfortunately, the Cougars laid an egg over their next three games, losing to UC Davis, Idaho, and UTEP. Washington State was favored in two of those three games and was a short underdog on the road against Idaho, but got killed in all three outings.
Key Stat
Kansas State has been one of the most efficient teams from the floor this season. The Wildcats effective field goal percentage is 56.4 percent and they have been one of the best teams in the country at shooting inside the arc. They are knocking down 57.4 percent of their two-pointers as they have been able to pass it around in order to find the best shot.
That’s not good for Washington State. The Cougars have had a hard time on the defensive end this season and are allowing opponents to make a lot of their shots. They do like to play up-tempo so some of that is a given, but they have not been very effective at playing man-to-man defense.
Player to Watch
Robert Franks has been Washington State’s best player this season. Franks leads the team in both scoring and rebounding and has only had one bad performance all season long.
He has been the rock that the team has relied on this season. Franks is extremely efficient and has really improved his shooting numbers in 2017-18. He hit 44 percent from the floor and 31.1 percent from beyond the arc last year, and this year he is hitting 52.9 percent from the floor and 45.5 percent from three.
Franks has not taken as many shots these last few games and that has hurt the Cougars. He scored a combined 40 points in Washington State’s last three outings and the team lost two of those three.

Although they are playing on the road, it’s hard not to like Kansas State in this one. Washington State got hot to win the Wooden Legacy, but has not looked good the rest of the year. The Wildcats will be able to move the ball around and score on this defense. Look for Kansas State to win outright.
College Basketball Odds: Kansas State 79, Washington State 73
