College Basketball Odds - Kentucky Wildcats at Texas AM Aggies Live Betting Preview

John Calipari was ejected from last Saturday's Kentucky Wildcats game in South Carolina, and you could almost feel the boys in blue rally on the court. The Cats have really looked good of late, and they're going to go for their second really big road win of the SEC season on Saturday against the Texas A&M Aggies.

SCHEDULING

Texas A&M is 7-3-1 ATS this season at Reed Arena, and live bettors are going to love the fact that this is the team's biggest game of the season at home. Emotions are going to run high for the Aggies, who will probably effectively clinch their spot in the NCAA Tournament with this victory.

However, we must remember that we've only seen A&M play one good game in conference play since the end of January, that coming on Tuesday night against Ole Miss. We'll believe in the Aggies against a big team when we see it, though of late, they've definitely played to the level of their competition night in and night out.

Kentucky has a little bit tougher road in this one, knowing that it has to play against Tennessee at home on Thursday before flying out to College Station on Friday for this Saturday game. The Wildcats aren't going to have a lot of practice time for one of the top teams in the SEC, and live bettors who are going to trust them will have to have confidence in Calipari's ability to make in-game adjustments.

KEY MATCHUP

When the Aggies are at their best offensively, Jalen Jones and Danuel House are getting into the paint and scoring, while Tonny Trocha-Morelos and D.J. Hogg are both contributing at least a few buckets here and there. This is all going to be tested against a Kentucky defense which seems to have found its stride in recent weeks.

It's odd to think that being without Alex Poythress has been the key for Big Blue, but it's becoming clear to us that Marcus Lee is the man who needs to be in the starting frontcourt with Derek Willis and not Poythress when the latter returns from his knee injury, which could come as soon as Thursday night against the Volunteers.

If the Aggies aren't having success in the paint, they're going to be hard-pressed to win this game, and live bettors should see that coming. A&M has only had one game this season in which it was stuck in the 50s, but this could easily become the second.

KEY STATS & TRENDS

It's easy to look at Texas A&M's run of 9-1 for under bettors since the middle of January and think that it's a slam dunk that this game won't reach the total either. However, it should be remembered that under bettors are only 6-4 this season in games played at Reed Arena, a far cry from the 7-1 they are when the Aggies are on the road.

The Wildcats are 3-0 SU and ATS since Poythress has gone out of the lineup, and they're outscoring teams by a ridiculous average of 26.7 points per game in that stretch. It's not like UK has been playing against slouches either. Sure, Georgia isn't in the NCAA Tournament field right now, but there's a chance that all three of these teams which Kentucky has beaten will ultimately dance next month.
