The Michigan State Spartans lost to Duke early this season but have been great ever since. They dominated the competition in their half of the Phil Knight Invitational, crushing DePaul, Connecticut, and North Carolina by an average of 20 points. There is no doubt that they will be favored over the Notre Dame Fighting Irish.
This war on the floor will go down Thursday, November 30, 2017, at 7 p.m. ET at the Breslin Center in East Lansing, Michigan. The game will be televised live on ESPN. We'll have NCAA basketball odds at BookMaker.eu available for this and every game on the college basketball Thursday schedule.

Michigan State has blown out its competition all year with Duke being the lone exception. The Spartans have a margin of victory of at least 18 points in all of their wins and are playing very good defense. They were able to hold North Carolina to just 45 points in the final of the PK80 Victory Bracket and haven’t allowed more than 71 points in any of their wins.
The Fighting Irish coasted through their first five games this season and scored a huge win at the Maui Invitational. Notre Dame overcame a 14-point halftime deficit to knock off Wichita State 67-66 in the final. It was the first big victory of the year for the Irish and this would be their second if they can pull it off.
Player to Watch
It’s really hard to not highlight Miles Bridges when talking about Michigan State. Bridges surprised many when he returned to East Lansing for his sophomore season, but wanted to have the opportunity to play for a great college team before going pro. This team has the potential to win it all this season, and his play is the main reason why.
Bridge is a force in the paint and can let it rip from range too. He had a pretty good outing against Duke, turnovers being the exception, but was a bit hobbled coming into Maui and played just 43 minutes.
He should be healthier by the time this game rolls around and will be more of a presence.
Key Stat
Notre Dame is one of the best three-point shooting teams in the country and will rely on the trey in its upset bid against Michigan State. Matt Farrell and TJ Gibbs are the two shooters that the Spartans must keep an eye on at all times in this one.
Gibbs has been on fire so far this season. The sophomore hit just 32.1 percent of his treys last season, but must have been practicing in the offseason. He is knocking down 53.3 percent of his three-pointers so far and went 6-10 from downtown against LSU in the semifinals of the Maui Invitational.
Farrell’s numbers are far more sustainable, but not as sexy for now. He hit 42 percent from beyond the arc last season and is hitting 42.9 percent this season.

If the Irish are going to pull off the upset, they are going to need to shoot well from beyond the arc and have Bonzie Colson perform well against Bridges. Colson is averaging 20 PPG and 11 RPG this season and is the main low post threat for the Irish.
The Irish will do just enough to get the cover in this one thanks to the play of Colson, but won’t pull off the outright upset.
College Basketball Odds: Michigan State 81, Notre Dame 76
