The Oklahoma Sooners are looking to solve their road woes against the Alabama Crimson Tide this weekend. Oklahoma has not been a good road team this season, losing each of its last three road games. Losing to West Virginia was expected, but the Sooners were short favorites against both Kansas State and Oklahoma State, and losing to those two teams hurt. Alabama has defended its home court well this season, posting a 9-1 record at home, and will be a tough test for the Sooners.

The over was a great bet in Oklahoma games for the first half of the season. Over cashed in 11 of the Sooners’ first 12 games. Since that point, the oddsmakers have adjusted. They have pushed the totals up and we have not seen a total under 160 since the calendar rolled over. Under has been a good bet over the last six games, with five of those games finishing short of the total.
Oklahoma has had a hard time covering the number in recent weeks. The Sooners have lost outright twice as a favorite, and they are 2-4 ATS over their last six.
The Crimson Tide have been one of the more disappointing teams in college basketball. Alabama started the season ranked and big things were expected out of this bunch. However, this team has continually stumbled against decent teams and has just a handful of quality wins. Alabama has performed well in conference play though, covering six if its eight SEC games.
Under has been a fantastic bet in Alabama tilts this season. The under has hit in each of the Crimson Tide’s last six games, and is 13-6 overall.
Matchup to Watch
Two of the most exciting point guards in the country will be squaring off in this one.
What more can be said about Trae Young? Young seems to be the favorite to win the Naismith Award as the best player in the country. He leads the nation in points and assists, and he has meant more to his team than any other player in the country. Although he tried to do too much on his own against Oklahoma State and Kansas State, he was a distributor against Kansas, and that was a big reason why the Sooners beat the Jayhawks.
Collin Sexton has tried to put Alabama on his back, but he has really struggled over his last few games. He has been hampered by an abdominal injury and missed the Tide’s games against Auburn and Mississippi State. Additionally, he couldn’t buy a bucket in his last three outings. Sexton is just 8-37 from the floor over his last three games.
Key Stat
Alabama has had one of the better defenses in college basketball this season. The Crimson Tide have been able to keep opponents from getting buckets, and are allowing teams to hit just 40.8 percent of their field goals.
Only Minnesota and Arizona have been able to eclipse the 80-point mark against this team. The Golden Gophers were able to do it largely as a result of playing five-on-three basketball for a significant amount of time, while the Wildcats have one of the best offenses in the country.

Look for an offensive explosion from Alabama here. The Crimson Tide have played some very tough defenses and should perform well against a Sooners team that has struggled on defense. Oklahoma has had a hard time in hostile environments, and Alabama will rise to the occasion and pull off the upset.
College Basketball Odds: Alabama 84, Oklahoma 82
