Baylor is one of the best teams in the country and even though it has lost four of its past six games, there is plenty of talent. The Bears likely won’t be down for long as throughout the season they have proven themselves.
Oklahoma has had a terrible season and sits in last place in the Big 12. Add the fact that they are on the road, and the Sooners will be heavy underdogs in this matchup. Baylor is likely going to need to win by double-digits in order to cover this spread.

Baylor is 22-5 straight up and 12-12 against the spread. The Bears have played in 12 games at home this season and have only covered in four of them, so they will aim to improve that number. Baylor has gone 8-11 against the spread as the favorite this year and has been better as the underdog.
Oklahoma is 9-17 straight up and 11-12-1 against the spread. The Sooners have done well against the spread on the road, covering four times and pushing once in eight attempts. Oklahoma has been the underdog 15 times this year, going 7-7-1 against the spread when getting points. The Sooners would like to get above .500 on the year in that category by covering in this one.
Last Meeting
The teams played earlier this season, and even though it was in Norman, the Sooners didn’t put up a fight. Baylor cruised to a 76-50 win after taking a 19-point lead into halftime.
Johnathan Motley had 19 points and 13 rebounds in the game and he will look to dominate once again. He is averaging 16.8 points and 9.5 rebounds per contest and the Sooners must figure out a way to slow him down.
Baylor won the rebounding battle by a 46-30 margin, and if it is able to dominate on the glass again in this one, Oklahoma will be sunk. This loss was the worst at home for Oklahoma since 2010-11 and it continued a theme of disappointing performances on the year.
Injury Report
This game was always going to be difficult, but it will be almost impossible to win since star Jordan Woodard was recently lost for the season due to a knee injury. Woodard was averaging 14.6 points, 4.6 rebounds and 3.1 assists on the year and was Oklahoma’s main player on offense.
Oklahoma has played its past two games without him and has actually held up pretty well, beating Texas before losing to Oklahoma State. However, the competition increases greatly in this one, as Baylor is a really tough opponent.
Rashard Odomes had a huge game last time out, scoring 29 points, and hopes to shoulder the scoring load without Woodard in the picture.

Baylor lost a squeaker to Kansas last time out, which essentially wraps up the Big 12 for the Jayhawks. The Bears have also lost games to Kansas State, Texas Tech and Kansas again within its past six games.
The Bears are still one of the top teams in the conference and the country, and will look to get back on track here. The Sooners have struggled so much this season that there is no reason to think they can be competitive on the road against such stiff competition.
The only drama will be which team covers what is expected to be a large spread.
College Basketball Odds: Baylor 84, Oklahoma 68
