2017-NCAAB-Oklahoma-State-at-Oklahoma-Betting-Online

Wins have been in short supply for both the Oklahoma State Cowboys and Oklahoma Sooners thus far in conference play, but facing off next week guarantees one of them to emerge victorious.

The Cowboys have been a bit better this season while the Sooners have the home court advantage, so this should be a competitive matchup. Oklahoma has a recent upset of West Virginia while Oklahoma State has won two in a row, so each side has reason to believe it can pull out this win.

At 9 p.m. ET, tune into ESPN for live television coverage of this NCAA basketball game on Monday, January 30, 2017 at the Lloyd Noble Center in Norman, Oklahoma.

Player to Watch

Jordan Woodard – Oklahoma’s senior guard is averaging 17.3 points a game and 5.3 rebounds a game this season. He will be looking to turn things around this week after shooting just 17 percent from the field and finishing with just eight points in Oklahoma’s 84-83 loss to Texas on January 23rd.

Heading into the game against Texas last Monday, Woodard had scored 20 points or more in three straight games including scoring 27 against Texas Tech on January 14th. He also had 18 rebounds in that three-game stretch.

Since returning from injury on January 10th, Woodard has averaged 16.6 points a game. He scored a season-high 28 points against Wichita State on December 10th.

Key Stat

87.8. That’s how many points per game Oklahoma State’s offense is averaging this season. The team is tied for No. 8 in the nation for points per game.

This week, the Cowboys face a defense that is allowing 75.4 points per game. After a six-game losing streak, Oklahoma State is enjoying a two-game winning streak and will look to ride that wave after wins over Texas Tech and TCU.

The offense is led by Jawun Evans who is averaging 18.2 points a game and Jeffrey Carroll who is putting up 17.7 points per game. The Cowboys opened the season with three straight wins where the team combined for 321 points or more and have 100 points or more in five games this season.

Oklahoma State has been a tough better on the season, although these two have identical conference records. For bettors, this one comes down to whether they prefer the team which has the more talented roster or the one playing in front of the home crowd.

Statistically, the Cowboys have been the better team when you dig deeper than just the win-loss records. Their point-differential is easily superior and they are shooting and passing better than Oklahoma.

The Sooners have played better of late but don’t have the body of work that Oklahoma State does during the season. The Cowboys must be ready for a tough crowd because these teams are close in proximity and have a rivalry.

It won’t be easy, but take Oklahoma State to quiet the crowd and pick up a close win.

College Basketball Odds: Oklahoma State 83, Oklahoma 79
