The Texas A&M Aggies had made it all the way into the Top 5 in the nation a couple weeks ago and looked like serious threats to be a No. 1 seed in the NCAA Tournament. The bottom has fallen out though, as the Aggies were beaten by Arkansas, Vanderbilt, South Carolina and Alabama in a span of just 16 days. They're sure to be underdogs again on Saturday when they head down to the Bayou to take on the LSU Tigers.

SCHEDULING
Something needs to give here for the Aggies, as they've really been woeful of late in SEC play, losing four straight games in conference after starting out at 7-0. Maybe the sight of Ben Simmons will help, as their hardest game in this whole stretch against Iowa State was their best showing, a 72-62 victory.
However, it should be noted that this is a really quick turnaround for A&M after playing on Wednesday night in Tuscaloosa, especially with the travel back to Baton Rouge for an early Saturday tip.
LSU also put up a dud in its game on Wednesday night, getting dropped by South Carolina for its first SEC loss since losing to these Aggies back on January 19.
KEY MATCHUP
Ben Simmons really had a tough time on the road against Texas A&M in January. He only managed a total of nine shots from the field, and though he had 11 boards and chipped in four points from the charity stripe, he really never felt like he was a big part of the game.
Denying Simmons the ball was really the key. Danuel House and Jalen Jones are both built similarly to Simmons, and they did a lot of fronting him when he got in the lane. When Simmons had the ball in the backcourt, the key was to keep him out there so he couldn't make moves inside on dribble drives.
If Simmons can't get himself in the thick of this game, the Tigers are going to be in trouble, especially with the way they struggle on defense.
KEY STATS & TRENDS
The Tigers might be just 4-3 SU and 3-4 ATS in their last seven games, but they have to be excused for the way they've played at times this year. Since the start of the new year, they've only been beaten by Florida, Texas A&M, Oklahoma and South Carolina, all of which are firmly in the NCAA Tournament and could be Top 4 seeds by the time the brackets are released on Selection Sunday.
For the most part, LSU has put away the team which it should be beating, and though the first meeting in College Station wasn't one of those games which should've been won, the return trip here to the Pete Maravich Assembly Center should be.
Live bettors should really pay attention to how well the Aggies are rebounding the basketball. They haven't gotten to 30 boards in a game on this three-game losing streak, and their rebounding margin advantage which was over 10 per game just a few weeks ago has been shaved to just 7.2. They were +7 on the glass against the Tigers the first time around this year, and if they aren't again, they're going to be in a lot of trouble in live betting.
