It’s been a rough year for the Wisconsin Badgers. Wisconsin did not have a great run of things during its non-conference schedule. The Badgers finished non-conference play with a 7-6 record, and unfortunately, things have not gotten better since that point. They are just 3-4 in Big Ten play.
At least the Badgers have done better than the Iowa Hawkeyes. It’s been an uphill grind for the Hawkeyes this season. The only conference foe they have defeated is winless Illinois, and they are currently one game under .500.
This war on the floor will go down Tuesday, January 23, 2018, at 7 p.m. ET at Carver-Hawkeye Arena in Iowa City, Iowa. The game will be televised live on FS1. We'll have NCAA basketball odds at BookMaker.eu available for this and every game on the college basketball Tuesday schedule.

If you’ve taken the over in Iowa games this season, you’ve made out like a bandit. Over has been a big winner in Hawkeyes games, with the over cashing in seven of the last eight. Overall, the over is 11-6 in Iowa games on the year.
Against the number, things haven’t gone so well for Iowa. The Hawkeyes are just 6-9-2 ATS and have not looked good in conference play. They are 1-5 ATS in their last six Big Ten games and weren’t even close in most of those tilts. That’s a scary proposition going forward.
It’s been a while since a Wisconsin game has gone over the total. The last six Badgers games have failed to go over despite five of the six games having a total of 135 or less. Wisconsin likes to play a slow, grinding game and it’s reflected in these totals.
Wisconsin hasn’t been a great team to bet on this year. The Badgers have failed to cover in three of their last four, and are 7-11-1 ATS on the season.
Player to Watch
The key to the Badgers offense is Ethan Happ. Happ has been very good for this team, and he is the lone player on this team who continues to put up impressive numbers night in and night out. He is a double-double threat every night and has been very efficient this season.
His averages may have taken a bit of a dip, but that’s only because of how much the Badgers rely on him. Teams are focusing on stopping Happ more than anyone else, but he is still finding a way to get it done. He has hauled in at least 10 rebounds in four of Wisconsin’s last five games despite being the only frontcourt presence on the roster.
Key Stat
Although Iowa has a losing record, the Hawkeyes can score some points. This team lit up opponents in their non-conference schedule, but some of the numbers have gone down since the start of Big Ten play. Most of their conference foes prefer to play a much more deliberate style of basketball, and that has led to a dip.
The Hawkeyes are still one of the more efficient teams you will find though. This team is just outside of the top 50 in field goal efficiency, and most of their rotation is hitting more than 50 percent from the floor.
Perhaps more importantly, is that everyone on the team is at least a decent three-point shooter. That’s something you don’t find on many teams these days.

These teams play contrasting styles of basketball, so it will be interesting to see which side prevails. At the end of the day though, I think Iowa will pick up the win at home. The Hawkeyes can score and just need to worry about stopping Happ on defense. They will be able to pick up the win and the cover.
College Basketball Odds: Iowa 74, Wisconsin 67
