The Golden State Warriors have kicked it into high gear since the All-Star Break as they look to track down the Houston Rockets atop the Western Conference standings. Golden State hopes to keep rolling next time out when it hits the road to face off against the Washington Wizards.
It’s not the easiest game as the Wizards have been playing well of late even without star John Wall and have the home court advantage. Even so, Golden State can’t be beaten by anyone when it brings its top level of performance, which it has been doing of late.
The Warriors and Wizards could both really use this game because they are both jockeying for position in their respective postseason races.

Odds Analysis
The Warriors are 46-14 straight up and 27-32-1 against the spread. They have covered in 13 of 29 attempts on the road this season. Golden State has been the favorite in every game it has played on the year and that won’t change in this one.
The Wizards are 35-25 straight up and 29-31 against the spread. Washington has only covered in 11 of 29 attempts at home this season. The Wizards have done a nice job against the spread as the underdog this year, covering in 14 of 21 attempts.
Key Stat
17.7. That is Golden State’s average margin of victory in three wins without a loss since the All-Star Break. The Warriors beat the Clippers by seven points, rolled past the Thunder by 32 and then beat the Knicks by 14 last time out.
Golden State entered the break a half-game behind the Rockets and have since pulled even, although Houston hasn’t lost either and has one fewer loss.
The Rockets are playing really well and it should be an interesting fight the rest of the way for the top seed in the West. The margin for error is slim for both teams, and while the Warriors are the favorite in this matchup, the Wizards are good enough to pull the upset if they are clicking on all cylinders.
Player To Watch
Bradley Beal — Golden State features the incomparable quartet of Stephen Curry, Kevin Durant, Klay Thompson and Draymond Green, which is why it has been favored in every game of the year. If the Wizards are going to have a legitimate shot at pulling the upset, Beal is going to have to play like a star.
He is putting together the best season of his career, averaging 23.7 points, 4.5 rebounds and 4.4 assists per contest. Beal is shooting 46.4 percent from the field and 37.5 percent from three-point range.
He also added 1.2 steals per game and if Beal is able to make an impact on both sides of the court it will be a big help in keeping his team close.

The Warriors have looked a bit disinterested at times during the season, which is to be expected for a team so talented and with so little to prove. However, the Rockets’ success may have given them some motivation.
Look for Golden State to go on a nice run down the stretch, including with a win on the road against the Wizards. Keep an eye on the spread. If it’s too low, the Warriors should be the pick to cover. Consider the “under” as Washington may have trouble putting up points against a Golden State defensive that is underrated because there is so much focus on its offense.
NBA Odds: Warriors 115, Wizards 105
