All eyes will be on the Warriors as they try to set the NBA record for wins in a season. They’ve already clinched a playoff spot and Saturday’s win over Oklahoma City is further proof that Golden State just finds a way to win games. The Dubs return home for the first time in three weeks and put their 42-game regular season win streak on the line against the Hawks.

SCHEDULING
The Hawks got a much-needed win Sunday over Charlotte. Not only was it a division game for Atlanta, but it was also their last before embarking on a five-game road trip that starts Tuesday in Northern California. After losing three straight out of the break, and five of six overall, Atlanta will take a two-game winning streak into their showdown with the Warriors. The Hawks haven’t been able to capture the magic of their 60-win last season, partly because of their failure to win consistently on the road. Atlanta is one game below .500 at 14-15 SU and 13-15-1 ATS away from Philips Arena.
While the Hawks are starting a five-game road trip, the Warriors play their first home game since knocking off Houston on Feb. 9. The trip ended Sunday in Oklahoma City with a dramatic comeback win over the Thunder, giving the Dubs a 6-1 SU record. Golden State defeated Atlanta as part of that trip, covering the 6-point spread in a 102-92 win on Feb. 22. The Warriors have yet to lose at home this season in 24 games, and haven’t lost a regular season game at Oracle Arena since Jan. 27, 2015, going 42-0 in that time.
INJURIES
Hawks reserve center Tiago Splitter opted to have surgery on his hip, a procedure that will keep him out for the remainder of the season.
Warriors’ backup center Festus Ezeli had arthroscopic surgery to repair his left knee and is expected to miss another four weeks of action. Otherwise, the team remains relatively healthy.
KEY MATCHUP
If there was any doubt about his place among the greats in the game, Stephen Curry put an end to that. Like he’s done all season, and for the past two, Curry was again the center of attention in a primetime matchup on Saturday. He tied the NBA record with 12 three-pointers and drained 46 points in an effortless display. No shot was bigger than the game-winner in overtime from well beyond 30 feet that gave the Warriors a 121-118 win over the Thunder. Curry shattered his own league record for threes in a season – with 24 games left to play – and has made at least one triple in a record 128 consecutive games. His range is limitless, which makes him tough to defend, and the Warriors run motion and screens to get him open. Curry made 14 of 22 field goals, including 5 of 11 three-pointers, and tallied 36 points in Golden State’s 102-92 win at Atlanta on Feb. 22. He averaged 36.7 points in the month of February, hitting a ridiculous 53.6 percent of his three-point shots, and appears to be getting stronger as the season winds down.
ANALYSIS AND ODDS PREDICTION
There doesn’t appear to be anything that can stop the Warriors from setting the NBA record for wins in a season. They just completed their toughest stretch with seven road games in a three-week span and exited with a 6-1 SU record. Now they have 17 of their final 24 games at Oracle, where they haven’t lost a regular season game in over a calendar year with 42 straight wins. The Warriors will probably lose a few more games before the season closes, it’s just hard to imagine them losing to the Hawks, who they beat by 10 points in Atlanta two weeks ago.
