Golden State is the -125 betting favorite on the odds to win the NBA championship. Led by the best pure shooter in the game in Steph Curry, the Warriors have the best offense in the NBA averaging 115.4 points per game, and a deceptively strong defense when its starters are playing.
The Warriors seem to be reinventing the game, and beating this team four times in a seven game series will be a tall task. Golden State is 23-4 SU and 17-8-2 ATS on the road this season.
If not for Golden State's historically strong start, all of the buzz this season would probably be swirling around the San Antonio Spurs. LaMarcus Aldridge has fit into the Spurs' system perfectly, and through their first 51 games the Spurs were 43-8 SU and 33-18 ATS.
San Antonio had no answer for Golden State in the team's first regular season meeting, but Gregg Popovich may have some tricks up his sleeve in the postseason. The Spurs are going off at +375 on the NBA championship betting lines.
LeBron James has been to the NBA Finals in each of the last five seasons, and his Cavaliers are heavy favorites to win the Eastern Conference once again. Cleveland fell short of winning the championship last season, dealing with injuries to Kevin Love and Kyrie Irving in its finals appearance against the Warriors.
At +295 to win the championship, the Cavaliers hope to stay healthy this time around and try to get the job done.
Rounding out the potential contenders for this season's NBA title at are the Oklahoma City Thunder at +853, Toronto Raptors at +2128, Los Angeles Clippers at +2891, and the Boston Celtics at +4438.
With Russell Westbrook playing at an extremely high level and Kevin Durant staying healthy thus far, Oklahoma City looks like the team that could break up the top two in the West, if anyone can.
