The Golden State Warriors have made quick work of many opponents this season and will aim to keep it up against the Chicago Bulls. The Warriors lost last time out but that shouldn’t have any bearing on their ability to pull out a victory over the Chicago Bulls.
The Warriors are the best team in the NBA and are playing this game at home so clearly they will be big-time favorites. The Bulls would love to play spoiler but it will be tough as they go against the most formidable offense in the league. Chicago must bear down defensively in order to keep this matchup close but it’s quite unlikely it pulls off the upset.

The Bulls are 25-26 straight up and 25-26 against the spread. Chicago has played 25 away games and has gone 13-12 against the spread in those contests. The Bulls have gone 14-11 against the spread as the underdog this year.
Golden State is 43-8 straight up and 24-25-2 against the spread as it has been a heavy favorite in many games this season. The Warriors are 13-11-1 at home against the spread and will certainly be giving points in this matchup. Golden State has been the favorite in every game this season and that won’t be changing in this contest.
Key Stat
102. That’s how many points the Bulls have been holding opponents to this season. Chicago is tied for No. 6 in the NBA for points against, but the team faces the best offense in the league on Wednesday.
The Bulls are coming into this week off a 121-117 overtime loss to James Harden and the Houston Rockets on Friday. The team held Oklahoma City to 100 points in a win last Wednesday.
Even with the Warriors’ unexpected loss in Sacramento, Golden State enters this week averaging 124.4 points per game over the last five contests. This will be the toughest test of the season so far for the Chicago defense.
Player to Watch
Stephen Curry -- Despite the Warriors loss on Saturday to the Kings, Curry kept pace with his recent hot streak finishing with 35 points and nine assists. He has combined for 103 points over the last three games.
In the Warriors’ 133-120 win over the Clippers on February 2nd, Curry finished with 29 points and 11 assists and he also had 39 points in the team’s win over Charlotte on February 1st. Curry is averaging 25.6 points and 6.4 points per game this season and the superstar point guard continues to be a dominant force on this red hot offense.
He seems to be heating up as the season wears on this year, averaging 27.8 points in the month of January compared 20.9 points per game in December. Curry, Kevin Durant and Klay Thompson lead an offense that is averaging 118.2 points per game, ranking first in the league in points and assists.
There aren’t as many shots to go around with Durant in the fold, but Curry has found his niche and has figured out how to be a star with fewer shots available.

The Warriors have the best team in the NBA and have shown it thus far. As coach Steve Kerr said, the team lost last time out because the season is long and sometimes the focus won’t be there. The Warriors should be able to bounce back in this one and show that was only an unlikely blip.
Golden State is easily the better team and gets this game at home, so the drama should be taken out of it early. Chicago doesn’t have the talent to keep this one close. Take the Warriors to cruise to a victory behind big games from Curry and Thompson.
The worst thing that happened to the Bulls was the Warriors’ recent loss, as the players should be focused and motivated for this showdown.
NBA Odds: Warriors 123, Bulls 107
