Game 7. NBA Finals. Does it get any bigger than this? What once looked to be another runaway series win for the Warriors now all comes down to one game with the Cavaliers staving off elimination in two straight to flip the script on the defending champs to put themselves in a position to possibly make some history themselves.

ODDS ANALYSIS
The Cavs have made the Dubs look foolish over the course of the last two games with the duo of LeBron James and Kyrie Irving getting the best of Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson.
With that, oddsmakers lowered the boom on the defending champs lowering them to just five point favorites in Game 7 after going off the board as -6, -6.5 and -5.5 point chalk in their previous three home games of this series.
While the over has cashed in three of the last four games – depending on where you bought in on Game 5 – a steady flow of under money has hit the books since the total opened at 207.5 minutes after Game 6 concluded. It currently resides at 207 but there are some 206s out there with the betting public of the belief the defenses will shine in this championship deciding tilt.
KEY MATCHUP
Back-to-back 41 point performances by LBJ has seen the Cavs get back into this series in a hurry. With their backs against the wall, he came up with one of the best playoff performances of his career in knocking down 16 of his 30 overall shots and ripping down 16 rebounds to help lead his team to the must-have 112-97 road win in Game 5 at Oracle Arena.
Not to be outdone, teammate Kyrie Irving matched his scoring output with 41 of his own by knocking down better than 70 percent of his shots which included a 5 of 7 effort from downtown to help aid the Cavs in the impressive win.
Those performances carried over into Game 6 with LeBron putting forth another 41 points, 11 assists and 8 rebounds, while Kyrie chipped in with 23. The duo once again outscored the “Splash Brothers” en route to pulling out the wire-to-wire 112-97 home win and cover.
Most important about this whole scenario is the fact that LeBron is looking to get his, and the Warriors haven’t been able to do a thing about it. Regardless of Curry winning the MVP for a second straight season, James is the best player in the league when his head is on straight and he’s not begging the refs to bail him out.
He’s looked like a completely different player than the one that averaged taking just 19 shots through Games 1 and 2. That hasn’t boded well for the defending champs, and I foresee that trend continuing in do-or-die Game 7.
LIVE BETTING SCENARIO
After dropping the last two games of this series, the Warriors are now 3-2 SU and 2-3 ATS in closeout games this postseason. They’re also now in danger of having history occur against them after becoming the tenth team in NBA playoff history to battle back from a 3-1 deficit and win a series. Cleveland is in a great position to become the eleventh team, and there’s not a doubt in my mind that the feat was pulled off twice in the some playoffs.
While the betting public expects to see a low scorer, I see that being the worst possible scenario for the Cavs who’ve run the Warriors ragged over the last two games and excelled because of it. So long as LBJ is continuing to take his fair share of shots and not look to his teammates, Cleveland should be alright. If not, Golden State will be able to get under the team’s skin which will have the Oracle crowd going bonkers making the Cavs chances of pulling this one out all the more slim.
Cleveland’s confidence is at an all-time high right now, but it can’t get cocky. It must continue cleaning the glass and keeping turnovers to a minimum. If Kyrie and LBJ continue their solid form, Cleveland will be the side to live bet throughout the entirety of this game as it’s in the heads of the defending champs right now.
