NBA Odds: Cleveland Cavaliers at Toronto Raptors Game 3 Live Betting Preview

2016-NBA-ECF-Game-3-(Live-Betting)-Odds

The Raptors have proven to be unworthy adversaries of the Cavaliers through the first two games of the Eastern Conference finals with LeBron James and company able to waltz to the commanding 2-0 lead with no resistance whatsoever. If Toronto doesn’t put its best foot forward in Game 3 back home, you can put a fork in the series because it’ll be done!

ODDS ANALYSIS

The Cavaliers have been favored in all five meetings with the Raptors this season. They’re 3-2 SU and ATS in those contests. The three wins occurred at home where Cleveland won each game by an average of 24 points per game.

The two defeats took place on the road north of the border where this series just so happens to be going for Games 3 and 4. While the Raptors won both games against the Cavaliers n their own arena in the regular season, they did so by just four and two points respectively.

The Dinos went off the board as 3 and 2.5-point underdogs in those games with the total splitting against the closing number. Should this season’s series trend continue, we’ll have a series on our hands. If not, this series might not make it back to the Q.

KEY MATCHUPS

Toronto has failed to score 90 points in either game of this series. Cleveland has been insane offensively in the playoffs having put forth an offensive efficiency rating of 117.4. However, one should also be looking at just how well Tristan Thompson and company have been playing at the other end of the court.

Through 10 postseason games, the Cavs are conceding an average of just 95.1 points per game. Down 3.2 from their regular season average. Even scarier for Toronto is the fact that it failed to exceed 42.5 percent shooting from the field in either of the first two games, and things don’t look to be getting much better even with the series shifting to Toronto.

The only hope here for Toronto is to get both Kyle Lowry and DeMar DeRozan cooking at the same time. The latter has stepped up to the plate averaging 20 points per game in this series, but the latter has once again been a no show and will be looked upon as a major reason why the Raptors failed to compete in this series if he doesn’t step up in these next two games.

LIVE BETTING SCENARIO

With Jonas Valanciunas unavailable and still likely not able to suit up on Saturday, the Cavaliers are going to continue taking advantage of the Dinos in the paint. Toronto has been outscored 106-64 down low with Kyrie Irving and LBJ streaking to the hoop, and Thompson and Kevin Love doing as they please at close range.

Until someone like Bismack Biyombo, DeMarre Carroll or Patrick Peterson gets physical enough to make his presence felt, there’s simply no reason to think or believe the theme of this series will change along with the venue.

If you plan to live bet this one, be sure to keep an eye on how easily the Cavs are getting to the rack. If as easy as the first two games, lay the chalk on the readjusted lines and keep doing so. If Toronto actually puts up a fight down low or is able to get at least two of Cleveland’s superstars into early foul trouble, they just might have a shot at keeping it interesting.
