The Mavericks are one of four teams to beat the Warriors this season. Dallas pulled out a 114-91 win against the Stephen Curry-less Dubs. Duplicating the feat will be tough with Curry and friends back in the lineup.

SCHEDULING
It’s not an ideal way for the Mavericks to end their road trip. Playing their third game in four nights, the Mavs visit the best in the NBA, taking on the Warriors in Oracle in the second game of a back-to-back. Dallas played in Los Angeles Tuesday night before making the trip north and has a 7-4 SU and ATS record in the second of back-to-back sets. The Mavs routed Golden State 114-91 when the teams met in Big D at the end of December. Hats off to the Mavs for being one of four teams to beat the Dubs this season; they took advantage of a short-handed Warriors team that played without Steph Curry, Harrison Barnes and Leandro Barbosa. Things will be different this time around on the Warriors home floor.
Golden State could breathe a sigh of relief after Monday’s epic showdown with San Antonio. Both teams spent a lot of energy both before and during the contest that pitted the best teams in the association. A Warriors letdown could be forgiven, but the Dubs don’t roll that way. Besides there is the motivation of payback after the Mavs blitzed them back on Dec. 30.
INJURIES
Mavs’ coach Rick Carlisle has rested some of his veterans in the second game of a back-to-back and wouldn’t be surprised if Nowitzki, Deron Williams and Wesley Matthews, or some combination of the three, get a breather. The Mavs could be without backup point guard Devin Harris, who injured his toe over the weekend, and center Zaza Pachulia, who is nursing a lower leg injury.
KEY MATCHUP
A long three-pointer with plenty of time on the shot clock is a terrible shot. That is unless you’re Stephen Curry. His long-range bombs have dropped with incredible accuracy this season. It’s one reason the reigning NBA champion and Most Valuable Player has become even better this season: Curry is taking – and making – more ridiculously long shots than ever. His range has become so absurd that there is no longer anywhere in the halfcourt where Curry can go unguarded. Curry’s shooting percentage on three-pointers more than three feet behind the line is higher than almost every other NBA player’s percentage on regular three-point shots. Simply put, other teams must now defend Curry even when he’s 30 feet from the basket. It’s the latest example of how Curry has redefined the game. He’s in the middle of the most efficient season in NBA history in part because he has made seemingly impossible shots a part of his game.
ANALYSIS AND ODDS PREDICTION
The Mavericks pulled off a stunning 23-point victory when the teams met in Dallas on Dec. 30, taking advantage of a Warriors team that played without Curry, Barnes, Barbosa and Festus Ezili. Golden State had one of its worst shooting nights of the season connecting on just 40.7 percent of its field goals and 36.8 percent of three-point attempts. Dallas was without Deron Williams for that game, but the Dubs were a bit shorthanded. That won’t be the case Wednesday and the result will be different, as long as Golden State doesn’t have a letdown following Monday’s battle with San Antonio.
