NBA Odds - Golden State Warriors at Chicago Bulls Game Preview

Warriors-at-Bulls-bm

Chicago is playing at home and has shown the ability to knock off upper-tier teams, but this one will still be a challenge. Golden State has the best record in the NBA and is clearly the team to beat behind its quartet of stars.

The Warriors will be favored once again as they aim to take care of business in a hostile environment.

This war on the floor will go down Thursday, March 2, 2017, at 8 p.m. ET at United Center in Chicago, Illinois. The game will be televised live on TNT.

We'll have NBA odds at BookMaker.eu available for this and every game on the NBA Thursday schedule.

Odds Analysis

The Bulls are 30-29 straight up and 30-29 against the spread. Chicago has played in 29 home games this season and covered 15 of them. The Bulls have done well as the underdog this season, with a record of 18-13 against the spread.

The Warriors are 49-9 straight up and 28-28-2 against the spread. Golden State has played in 29 games on the road this season and have gone 13-15-1 against the spread in those contests. The Warriors have been favored in every game they have played this season and that doesn’t figure to change for the rest of the regular season.

Scheduling Situation

Golden State is in the midst of long road trip which includes five games in seven days. This stretch of games will be demanding for the Warriors in terms of long travel and time changes coming into play.

The Warriors started this stretch taking on the 76ers on Monday and they also take on the Wizards on Tuesday before their matchup against the Bulls on Thursday. The road trip concludes with games against the Knicks and the Hawks.

Golden State is still the favorite in this one, but the long road trip could work in the Bulls favor in this one. The Warriors have a record of 23-6 on the road this season.

Last Meeting

The first time these two teams met back on February 8th, Golden State got the best of Chicago, winning 123-92. The Warriors led 55-41 at halftime and maintained full control in the second half.

Klay Thompson was the leading scorer during the Warriors win, finishing with 28 points and Kevin Durant captured a triple-double with 22 points, 10 rebounds and 10 assists.

Robin Lopez had 17 points for the Bulls and Taj Gibson finished with 15. Chicago has lost the last three games in a row against Golden State with the team’s last win coming in January 2015 when the team still had former superstar Derrick Rose.

Free NBA ATS Pick

The Bulls are looking a little different these days as they added Cameron Payne in a trade with Oklahoma City. The Thunder picked up Doug McDermott and Taj Gibson in the deal, which probably makes Chicago slightly worse in the near term.

However, the Bulls are playing well of late and Payne should be able to be a critical piece as he learns the offense. Chicago is currently the No. 6 seed in the East and is jockeying for position for the playoffs.

The Warriors have already clinched a playoff spot and seem to be a lock to win the West once again. Golden State is the better team, but this isn’t the easiest situation with the long road trip and a good opponent.

The Bulls hope to keep it close but they simply don’t have enough firepower to keep up, and their defense won’t be able to slow down the Warriors.

NBA Odds: Warriors 119, Bulls 107
