The Golden State Warriors are putting up points at an unbelievable rate lately and should be in line for an entertaining showdown with the Los Angeles Clippers. Both teams are among the best in the NBA thus far on the season and with a home game, the Clippers could have a shot at pulling off the upset.
The scoring total will need to be extremely high as Golden State leads the NBA in scoring by a healthy margin. This will be one of the best games of the young season if the Clippers can keep up.

Odds Analysis
The Warriors are 17-3 straight up and 10-9-1 against the spread this season. Golden State has been the favorite in every single game this year and this doesn’t figure to change despite facing a chief contender on the road. That’s a reminder of just how good the Warriors are.
Los Angeles is 16-5 straight up and 12-9 against the spread on the year. The Clippers have covered in five of nine home games and are 2-0 as the underdog this year.
Matchup to Watch
The Warriors high-scoring offense against the Clippers stout defense. Golden State ranks No. 1 in the NBA for points scored, averaging 119.1 a game so far this season, but the team faces a tough Clipper defense this week
The Clippers rank No. 6 in the NBA for points allowed, holding opposing offenses to 98.6 points a game. With so many great shooters on the Golden State squad, the Clippers will have their hands full this week.
It’s really hard to stop Golden State because of its trio of Stephen Curry, Kevin Durant and Klay Thompson. However, the Clippers have an advantage in that DeAndre Jordan is an elite shot-blocker around the rim, which should allow the other defenders to stick to the shooters on the outside.
Still, Golden State’s elite players don’t need a ton of room to get their shots off and it will be tough to slow them down, especially considering this is a Warriors team which scored a ridiculous 149 points earlier in the year.
Player To Watch
Chris Paul - While the Warriors have a great point guard in Curry, Paul, Los Angeles’ floor general, may be the key to this game.
The Clippers will need to score efficiently in order to stay in this one, and Paul directs the offense. He is averaging 17.8 points, 9.0 assists and 5.3 rebounds on the season and is one of the best players in the league.
The Clippers don’t have comparable talent to Golden State but it has the best distributor in the game which could mean a lot.
Free NBA ATS Picks
The Warriors may have a recent loss but beyond that everything is going really well. Durant has stepped in seamlessly and leads the team in scoring while there are plenty of shots to go around for Thompson and Curry.
Golden State could very well finish the season averaging more than 120 points per game, which would be a remarkable feat.
The Clippers actually had a better record than the Warriors early in the season but are just 6-4 in their past 10 games. Los Angeles badly wants to keep pace with the Warriors and Spurs in the West, but that will be a tough task. Beating the Warriors at home seems essential, but the task could be too hard.
Golden State’s offense is humming right now and even the Clippers’ stingy group won’t be able to stop it.
NBA Odds: Warriors 113, Clippers 107
