NBA Odds - Golden State Warriors at San Antonio Spurs Game Preview

NBA-WCF-Game-3-bm

The Warriors went up 2-0 in the Western Conference Finals with an easy win last time out. The Spurs will return home hoping the crowd can help re-energize them, although Golden State figures to be the road favorite based on its dominance last time out.

The Warriors are 10-0 in the postseason and look to cruise into the NBA Finals. This game will determine whether San Antonio will be able to put up a fight.

This war on the floor will go down Saturday, May 20, 2017, at 9 p.m. ET at the AT&T Center in San Antonio, Texas. The game will be televised live on ESPN.

We'll have NBA odds at BookMaker.eu available for this and every game on the NBA Saturday schedule.

NBA Odds

The Warriors were gaudy 13.5-point favorites in Game 2 and easily covered that, winning 136-100. The scoring total was set at 210 points and the “over” was the easy winner.

Golden State is likely to be road favorites next time out, although the spread should be closer because of the venue. It could really be swayed by Leonard’s availability as he continues to recover from an ankle injury.

The Warriors are now 77-15 straight up and 46-42-4 against the spread. Golden State is 23-21-1 against the spread on the road this season. The Warriors have been the favorite in all but three games this season, going 44-41-4 against the spread in those contests.

The Spurs are 69-27 straight up and 49-45-2 against the spread. San Antonio has covered in 23 of 47 home games on the season. The Spurs are 8-3-1 against the spread as the underdog on the season.

Last Time Out

With Leonard on the sidelines for Game 2, the Warriors took over from the jump and dominated the whole way. They shot a blistering percentage in the first half and led by 28 points at the half.

Stephen Curry was really impressive, finishing with 29 points, seven rebounds and seven assists. Curry shot 8-of-13 from the field and hit 6-of-9 shots from three-point range. Draymond Green added 13 points, nine rebounds and six assists.

The Spurs got poor efforts from their starters as Jonathan Simmons was the only player in double figures with 22 points. LaMarcus Aldridge played particularly poorly, finishing with eight points and four rebounds. With Leonard on the shelf, the Spurs needed a big performance from Aldridge and he didn’t come close to delivering.

Injury Report

Much has been written about Zaza Pachulia sticking his foot under Leonard on a jumpshot, which caused an aggravation of the ankle Leonard injured against the Rockets. San Antonio led by 25 points in the third quarter of Game 1, but Leonard’s injury resulted in a spiral.

The Spurs have not been close to matching up with Golden State since losing their best player. Leonard’s ability to play in Game 3 is still very much in doubt. He figures to give it a go if possible, although Leonard could be limited even if he does play.

The Spurs are desperate and know they have to win this one. Leonard is going to do everything he can to play, and getting out there would certainly be a lift for San Antonio.

Free NBA ATS Pick

Golden State isn’t likely to run away with this game because it is in San Antonio, but the talent level is just too wide at this point with Leonard less than 100 percent. The Warriors are absolutely rolling right now, as Curry, Green, Kevin Durant and Klay Thompson lead an elite offense.

Take the Warriors to take care of business in Game 3 to leave no doubt in this series as they set up an aim at yet another sweep.

NBA Odds: Warriors 112, Spurs 104
