Both teams are red hot currently and this should be an entertaining matchup. Since the Wizards play at home and have a slightly superior record, that should give them the edge as they will be the favorites in this one. However, Indiana has reeled off seven consecutive victories and certainly can’t be counted out.

The Pacers are 29-22 straight up and 23-28 against the spread. Indiana has played in 25 road games this season and has not held up well, going just 9-16 against the spread. The Pacers are 10-13 against the spread as the underdog on the year.
The Wizards are 30-21 straight up and also 30-21 against the spread. Washington has played in 29 home games and has performed nicely, covering in 19 of those contests. The Wizards are also 19-10 against the spread as the favorite this year.
Player to Watch
Myles Turner -- The Pacers’ second year center has taken a big step forward this season and has become a key cog. He is averaging 15.5 points, 7.3 rebounds and 2.3 blocks on the season, playing well on both ends of the court.
Turner was a mid-first-round pick in 2015 out of Texas so he has given the Pacers great value. He should continue to improve as he gains experience and is a big-time bright spot. Turner had 10 points, five rebounds and four blocks last time out in a 93-90 win over the Oklahoma City Thunder.
The Wizards have a solid center themselves in Marcin Gortat and that will be an interesting matchup to watch. The player that gets the upper hand will give his team a boost.
Key Stat
14. That’s the number of wins the Wizards have reeled off in their past 17 games. Washington was wallowing around .500 at the time but everything has really clicked of late. The Wizards last time out, but it was because LeBron James hit a miraculous shot to force overtime.
Even though Washington lost that game, it was a good sign to see the team compete so well against the defending NBA champions. The Wizards have been led by John Wall, who is averaging 23.0 points, 10.4 assists and 4.4 rebounds on the season.
Wall has ascended to one of the best guards in the NBA and is carrying his team to nice heights. Bradley Beal is the other part of the 1-2 punch, as he is averaging 22.2 points and 3.7 assists on the season.

The Wizards and Pacers are very near each other in the standings, although it seems like Washington has the higher-end potential behind Wall and Beal. This is a game they really need to win as the regular season hits its stretch run.
If either of these teams finish as the fourth or fifth seed, it would mean a likely visit with the Cavaliers in the second round of the playoffs. They will both be shooting for the second or third seed, but with the Celtics and Raptors around, it won’t be easy.
As two hot teams face off, only one can come away victorious, and the Wizards are the choice to both win this game and likely cover the spread.
NBA Odds: Wizards 107, Pacers 100
