Oklahoma City will try to do what no other team has been able to this season, knock off the Warriors at home. That's a tall task with Golden State having a 22-0 record in Oracle Arena and having beat 15 of those 22 opponents by double digits.
You can bet on NBA odds at BookMaker.eu every day of the season.
SCHEDULING
For an NBA schedule that is usually seen as grueling, this is one of the rare games that will see both teams play with plenty of rest. Both the Thunder and Warriors will have two days off before they play and neither team has a game the next night which is usually the norm.
With no excuses for tired legs, this should be a fast paced fun and gun affair.
KEY MATCHUP
These teams have yet to play this season so this will be the first time we see Billy Donovan try to crack the code that can beat the Dubs. Oklahoma City is one of the few teams in the league that is as high scoring and plays with pace like the Warriors do. The Thunder have scored 100 points in nine straight games and at least 114 in five straight.
Kevin Durant may be playing his last season in Oklahoma City, and this may be OKC's last shot to win a title if he does decide to leave in the offseason. Durant has been on a tear during the Thunder's last five, averaging 33.8 points and 9.8 rebounds a game.
LeBron may be the best player in the league, but Durant is the most versatile and even someone as good as Draymond Green will have fits matching up against him.
The best shooter in the NBA couldn't miss from anywhere on the court the last time we saw the Warriors. Steph Curry was shooting daggers all over the floor on Wednesday night against the Wizards. In the first half, Curry couldn't miss, hitting 13 of his 14 shots and tallying 36 of the Warriors 74 first half points. He finished with 51 on the day, his second highest point total of the season, and hit 11 of 16 three pointers on the night to mark another amazing performance.
Curry's dominance is the reason why Golden State is so tough to beat. He is averaging almost five three pointers a game and is on pace to shatter his record of 286 in a season.
LIVE BETTING SCENARIO
The Thunder have won nine of their last ten, but a lot of those wins have been in close games and they’ve struggled ATS. In those nine wins, OKC covered the spread just three times and check in a woeful 20-31 ATS on the year.
Golden State continues to win and more impressively, cover. It seems like oddsmakers can't set lines high enough for this team and people are willing to back them no matter what. In their last five games, three of them on the road, Golden State was a double digit favorite in all but one, and covered four of the five.
On the season, the Warriors are 30-18-1 ATS and the only time they may be a dog this season is when they travel to San Antonio on March 19.
These are the two highest scoring teams in the league and this has the potential to be a 250 point game. The Warriors have a major advantage when it comes to their bench. Andre Iguodala and Shaun Livingston can provide scoring at any time, while the Thunder has a mediocre bench that doesn't have a pure shooter on it.
Count on the Warriors to outscore the Thunder when the back-ups are on the floor and bet accordingly.
