With only four games remaining on the regular season docket and owning a 2.5-game lead atop the standings, it certainly looks like Hall of Fame coach Rick Pitino is going to lead this program to its first conference title since the 1991-92 season when Lou Carnesecca was calling the shots.

With the game tied at 20 twelve minutes in, St. John?s would hit back-to-back threes to begin what ended up being a 16-2 run that allowed the Johnnies to take complete control. Even with leading scorer RJ Luis watching on from the sideline, the Red Storm drained 46.4 percent of its shots and nine threes to put 41 points on the board in each half. I laid the points and hit the under in the first showdown between these teams. I bought way too much into McNeeley?s return to the hardwood in that one, but I simply can?t ignore the fact that UConn held a huge 43-33 advantage in the rebounding battle with McNeely responsible for 11 of those caroms. Already having the blueprint of what to expect, I can?t help but think Hurley will have his kids out for blood. With that, I?m playing the rematch the exact same way I attacked the first matchup by backing UConn and the under as my college basketball parlay picks for this intriguing Big East clash.

It was a tale of two halves for the Wildcats on Wednesday night. Amari Williams and Koby Brea chipped in with 17 and 12 respectively, with the latter draining 3-of-4 from beyond the arc. Kentucky has now reached the 80+ point plateau in three of its last five games, and will be in a position to do so again in this spot against Alabama?s porous defense (No. 349).

Alabama Crimson Tide

Since increasing its win streak to seven straight after going into Austin and skunking the Texas Longhorns, the Crimson Tide has dropped two straight to Auburn and Mizzou and looked terrible in doing so. They went into the break trailing 42-33 and then proceeded to give up 52 points in the second half to fall by a 94-85 final count. Then on Wednesday night, Alabama got manhandled on the road by the Tigers who scored 110 points equating to the most Missouri?s program has scored since joining the SEC.

Bama sat back and watched the Tigers score the game?s first 12 points, and then proceeded to give up 47 more en route to trailing 59-46 at the break. Despite Mark Sears' game-high 35 points, including five three-pointers, Alabama?s defense had no answer for Mizzou?s balanced attack. The Tigers dominated inside with 40 points in the paint while also knocking down nine shots from beyond the arc. Alabama shot an impressive 53.8% from the field, drained 13 three-pointers, and converted 15-of-21 free throws, yet never truly threatened to take control of the game.

The first showdown between these clubs was a fun watch. Both teams ran up and down the court resulting in 78 possessions and 61 attempted threes. However, Butler and Robinson partook in that matchup and combined for 28 points, five rebounds, and eight assists. They also connected on 5-of-12 shots from beyond the arc. Likely not able to give it a go going by Mark Pope?s address to the media before the Vanderbilt game, neither is likely to take the floor for the rematch. I can?t help but think the Crimson Tide takes to their home hardwood with a vengeance after what?s transpired in their last two games. Wednesday night was humiliating. As tempting the points may look for those gravitating to the road dogs, caution is advised. Many will assume this rematch mirrors the first showdown, but I?m not among them. The total will also be set sky high, due to Alabama serving up 80+ points in each of its last four games?again, buyer beware! With Kentucky without two standout performers and Bama excelled at getting to the charity stripe (No. 20), the Wildcats? lack of depth could be a major factor. It won?t be for the faint of heart, but I?m laying the chalk and hitting the under for this matchup?s parlay picks.

Mavericks at Warriors NBA Parlay Picks - Bet on Basketball

The Dallas Mavericks and Golden State Warriors made waves at the trade deadline with blockbuster moves. Dallas got Anthony Davis in exchange for Luka Doncic in a less than popular deal with Mavs fans. Making things worse AD got hurt in his first game and could miss several weeks. Not a good turn of events for a club looking to rise from a play-in spot. The Warriors feel like lottery winners getting Jimmy Butler for minimal assets. The Dubs won their first two games with Butler in the lineup before, ironically, losing to the Mavs last week. The clubs clash once again in a nationally televised ABC game on Sunday with tip scheduled for 3:30 p.m. ET from Chase Center. The Mavs have won five of the last six meetings and are 5-1 against the NBA point spread at the Bitcoin sportsbook in that span.

Less than a year after a trip to the NBA Finals the Mavs tore down the roster with the unpopular trade of Doncic. Sure the dude is a stud when he plays, but he just hasn?t played a lot over the last few years. And at the time of the trade Doncic was on the shelf. He hadn?t played a game for the Mavs since Christmas. I didn?t find the trade all that upsetting since Dallas was getting a stud in return. And Davis was having a big game in his debut with 26 points, 16 rebounds and seven assists before leaving with a leg injury that could leave AD on the shelf for several more weeks.

It?s not like the Mavs were hurting without AD since they only got less than a full game from him. And Doncic hadn?t played in 2025. The rest of the roster has performed well with Kyrie Irving taking over as the alpha. And the entire roster stepped up in the last game before the break. With Irving and Klay Thompson out of the rotation the Mavs won for the fourth time in five games over Miami, 118-113. Dante Exum scored 27 points leading seven players in double figures.

The Doncic trade doesn?t look as bad with the emergence of Max Christie, who is averaging twice as many points as he did in 46 games with the Lakers. The sample size is small but Christie has scored at least 15 points in every game while playing 10 more minutes on average. It looks like all the dude needed was a chance. In last week?s 111-107 win over the Warriors Irving went for 42 points and Thompson hit five three-pointers for 17 points.

Golden State Warriors

The Warriors needed a jolt and the acquisition of Butler could be what they need to get them into the postseason. Even with Butler the Dubs are not a championship contender, but getting to the top six and avoiding the play-in tournament is a good start for them. They won three of four games since Butler was inserted into the lineup. He scored 25 points against his former team Chicago in his debut and has scored at least 19 in every outing.

The presence of Butler has also ignited Steph Curry, who averaged 31.0 points in those four games and made a total of 23 three-pointers. However, Butler has a way of wearing out his welcome, something he?s done at every stop of his NBA career and it?s only a matter of time before it happens again. Right now, though, the Warriors are a better club with Butler.

Finishing off a seven-game road trip on Friday, the Dubs play at Chase Center for the first time since Feb. 3 when they defeated Orlando. No longer do the Warriors have homecourt dominance with just a 15-13 record. They are also just 4-3 SU and ATS in their last seven home games with a 30-point setback to Boston and a 25-point defeat to Phoenix in that span.

The Los Angeles Lakers got a boost acquiring Luka Doncic in a massive trade at the deadline. It was reported before the All-Star break that Doncic would take the time to work on his conditioning, which was an area of concern for his former team. Just how much of an impact Doncic will have remains to be seen but he and his new mates get a chance to show off on Saturday when LA visits the scorching hot Denver Nuggets for a primetime matchup on ABC. The game is scheduled to tip at 8:30 p.m. ET from Ball Arena. The Nuggets entered the break as the hottest team in the NBA with eight straight wins and six consecutive payouts on the NBA odds at the Bitcoin sportsbook. James recently skipped the All-Star Game so he could tend to lingering health issues.

Though his numbers were weak the result was what the Lakers were looking for when Doncic debuted in a Lakers uniform. Playing for the first time in six weeks, Doncic scored 14 points in LA?s 132-113 win over Utah. After such a lengthy hiatus you could see the rust in Luka?s game. He was 5 of 14 from the field overall and 1 of 7 from behind the arc. In their final game before the All-Star break the Lakers saw their six-game winning streak end in the second of a home and home with the Jazz, 131-119. Doncic scored 16 points and James had 18.

The Lakers got plenty of support in the championship odds market after acquiring Doncic with their futures odds shrinking to the lowest they?ve been all season. Of course everything depends on the health of Doncic and that should be a concern for the club since he?s averaged about 60 games a season. Despite losing to Utah the Lakers entered the break on a roll with 12 wins in 15 games to move up the standings. They are also 9-2-1 ATS in their last 12 outings.

Denver Nuggets

Thanks to their recent hot streak the Nuggets felt it was not necessary to make any significant roster adjustments at the trade deadline. They?ve been riding the strong play of Nikola Jokic, Michael Porter Jr. and Jamal Murray winning eight in a row prior to the break. while most players enjoy time off in the middle of hectic season the Nuggets were likely looking forward to continuing their run before it was interrupted.

Most consider OKC?s Shai Gilgeous-Alexander the MVP at this point in the season but Jokic is once again putting up incredible numbers. He averages a triple-double with nearly 30 points, 12.6 rebounds and 10.2 assists while shooting 57.7 percent from the field. Jokic closed the first half with a 26-15-10 triple double in a win over Portland, his fifth in seven games leading to the break. He could have a big night against a Lakers squad lacking up front.

The Nuggets are also getting production from former Laker Russell Westbrook, who has fit in seamlessly. Russ missed some time with a hamstring injury before the break but he?s expected to return. Westbrook is averaging 13.0 points and 6.4 assists and has embraced his role as a complementary player to Jokic. Denver has had LA?s number winning nine of the last 10 meetings, including a five-game playoff series win last year and I like them to continue their dominance.

Let?s face it the guys make too much money playing in the NBA to risk injury in a tournament that?s not very highly regarded by U.S. standards. In addition to a number of NBA starts declining an invitation, the team recently saw James Harden, Anthony Davis, Damian Lillard and Bradley Beal withdraw their names. This isn?t the star-studded group we?ve seen in past competitions and the odds are likely to increase over the coming weeks as roster movement is fluid.

Of the players currently on the roster, only one ? Kemba Walker ? was an All-NBA pick last season. Walker and Khris Middleton were the only All-Stars, and only Walker, Julius Randle and Donovan Mitchell scored more than 20 points per game last NBA season. One area this group can be special is on defense. With Gregg Popovich coaching, you know Team USA is going to be strong, but can it topple the field for a third straight time?

They are the second favorite for a reason. With an abundance of NBA talent and fiery national team stars, the Serbs might have the best chance of upsetting the Americans if and when they play. Nikola Jokic is the centerpiece of the squad, but Bogdan Bogdanovich, Nemanja Bjelica and Milos Teodosic can all fill it up. Playing in a group with Angola, the Phillippines and Italy, shouldn?t offer much resistance, but there are few easy outs in this tournament.

The Spaniards aren?t as deep as Team USA and Serbia, but they have a strong cast of starters. Pau Gasol, a mainstay on the national team, is out with an injury, but toss in his brother Marc, Ricky Rubio and the Hernangomez brothers, and you have a potent group. A few big names won?t be playing when Serge Ibaka and Nikola Mirotic backed out of the games, and that?s a huge loss for a team without much depth.

Much like Spain, France has a definite NBA feel at the top of the roster but lacks depth the deeper you go. Rudy Gobert is the biggest name on the national team and he?s been the team?s ambassador leading up to the games. Gobert made a name for himself at the last FIBA World Cup with his defensive prowess helping France win its only medal in the history of the tournament. Now an established NBA veteran, he?ll be flanked by Nicolas Batum and Evan Fournier to give the French balance in the starting five.

Basketball is a team sport, but it certainly helps when the best player in the NBA is on your side. If you?re looking for a team to back why not throw down on Greece, which has the best all-around player in the tournament on its side. Giannis Antetokounmpo led the Bucks to the best record in the NBA last season, claiming league MVP honors along the way. They were stopped short of a Finals appearance making this another chance for Antetokounmpo to come out a winner. The hill is much tougher to climb than Spain or France, but this is a rare opportunity for
Giannis to play with his brothers Thanasis and Kostas, and that?s pretty frightening.
