The season's first perfect score did not come without its fair share of controversy. Switch-Up Night saw our stars hitting the floor with different partners this week, and the results were mixed. As usual. But, for me, this is always less about which dancer our celebrities get paired up with, and more about how said star does.

Boyz II Men's Wanya Morris kicked off the most recent episode with a smooth tango to a live performance of James Bay's “Hold Back The River." Morris had the swagger intact as he and his partner swept across the stage.Len's comment that it looked “hectic” earned him boos. His +925 odds at BookMaker.eu keep him firmly in the "days are numbered" category. Judges: 30/40.

Then came Tootie. Kim Fields and partner did a classic Viennese waltz to“These Arms Of Mine"but the chemistry appeared slightly off and it was a 28/40 for them. Admittedly, I expected Ms. Fields to hit the leaderboard with something far stronger than a +1971.

Doug Flutie left the Kleenex at home this week and delivered a high-energy tango to“Black and Gold."Bruno said it “wasn’t bad at all” and liked Doug’s determination. It was a 7 from each of the judges, for a total of 28/40. And why even bother relaying the odds? Unless you've got a thing for the longest of shots.

Then last week’s winnerGinger Zee and Mark Ballaspaired up for a pretty strong salsa. "You’re someone to watch!” Carrie Ann told Ginger. It was an 8 from all four judges for the highest score of the night thus far — 32! She hit the leaderboard with +502 and is hanging tough.

Antonio Brown and Karina Smirnoff danced the cha cha to “Son of a Preacher” and it didn't leave anywhere near the impression Uma Thurman left dancing to it in "Pulp Fiction." Earned them a 7 fromBruno, a 6 fromLen, a 7 from Carrie and a 6 from Maks for a total of 26. Yeow. +351 odds, but not for long.

Next up were Paige Van Zant and Sasha Farber, who did a sexy rumba to “Perfect." They looked good together and delivered. “You are more than capable of winning the show,” they were told. 8 fromBruno,LenandCarri, plus a 7 fromMaks, for a total of 31. Her +361 odds suggest what the judges say is true.

Then Von Millerbrought the country as he and his partnerdanced the jive. They got a 29 — not bad.

Sharna Burgess and Nyle DiMarco waltzed to “I Get to Love You." Surrounded by artificial mist, Nyle and Sharna did a swell job dancing and setting a romantic mood. So swell that Carrie Ann was actually brought to tears. A 9 from all of the judges except for Maks…who gave a 10 for a total of 37.

Last but not least, Jodie Sweetin was paired up with Val Chmerkovskiyfor the pasodoble.Their performance camecomplete with laser special effects and was quite the improvement from last week. They got 35/40 for the second-highest score of the night.

Sweetin for the win on this thing and was +376 odds going into the premiere.
