On this past Wednesday's episode ofSurvivor Cambodia: Second Chance, Angkor'sWoo Hwangenjoyed new life after staving off elimination one week earlier.
Later, in quite the twist, Monica Padillawas blindsided by her fellow Bayon tribe members.
The castaways started off with a reward challenge. Three members of each tribe were tied together, while a fourth was inside a barrel. They rolled the barrel to a series of flagpoles, where the person in the barrel collected a bag of balls and got back in. Once all three bags of balls were collected, they raced to roll the balls into a series of targets. The first tribe to finish won chairs, pillows, hammocks, blankets, candles and tarps. Additionally, refreshments were waiting for them back at camp. The second-place team got a tarp and rope. Ta Keo and Ankgor came in first and second, respectively.
For the immunity Survivor challenge, the contestants raced up a tower, through a series of obstacles, to get to the top. Once there, they launched sandbags, attempting to hit a series of targets. The first two tribes to hit all their targets won immunity. Angkor finished first, followed by Ta Keo.
While Woo certainly shined as far as viewers are concerned, other people, like Abi, aren’t so happy with him. Abi thought he was trying to manipulate the rest of the tribe. That said, Tasha realized how hard Abi is to be around, and she vastly prefers Woo.
Back at camp, Kelly Wigglesworth and Spencer Bledsoe, former Ta Keo members who joined the Bayon tribe after the week-3 switch-up, felt certain one of them would be going home. However, Monica's attempt to convinceKimmi Kappenbergto form an all-girl alliance backfired.
Kimmi went straight to Jeremy and Stephen and told them about Monica’s plan. And just like that Monica was on the chopping block. To his credit, Stephen was worried that getting rid of Monica would send a bad message to the original Bayon members, which would screw them over if/when the merge happens.
Monica voted first, and we actually saw her vote for Wigglesworth. Then we witnessed Wigglesworth vote for Spencer and Spencer vote for Wigglesworth.
The first three votes Jeff read were the ones we’d already seen - the one for Spencer and the two for Wigglesworth. The rest were for Monica, who looked stunned. Homeward bound! Spencer looked completely surprised too, while Kimmi looked indignant.
Next week: Stephen is planning some kind of big move, and someone else either gets sick or hurt and requires producer intervention.
