Day 4 at Ta Keo: Kelly was not happy to have found out she was on the bottom and hoping against hope that her alliance will get their crap together.
Spencer, Shirin and the other two in the alliance talked about who they need to target next.
Jeff voiced wanting Spencer and Shirin out, even though they’re in his alliance, because he thinks they’re playing too hard. He told Terry they can get Abi out later since she’s "low hanging fruit."
Spencer thinks Abi is cancer for the tribe and the alliance. Jeff likened her to a Brazilian soap opera.
Jeremy said he knows they will come after him.
By Day 6 at Ta Keo Jeff was telling Abi he’s ready to work with her.
Abi seems to like making and breaking day one alliances. She was maybe one vote away from going home the night before, but by night two is suddenly the most important player in the game. “Abi is here to start fights,” said Spencer. Where Spencer sees issues, Jeff Varner sees opportunity and thinks Abi could be the perfect person to bring all the way to the end. If only he could find a way to separate her from her alliance. If only there was a way to use her hot-headedness against her and the others Varner wants to get out.
By the time the Immunity Challenge rolled around pretty much everyone was hungry for victory. They had to race across obstacles and complete a puzzle to win. They were also playing for reward – a Survivor tool kit.
Afterwards, at Tribal Council, Jeff asked about the vibe of the tribe. Shirin said there was some fighting and people lost trust in her and she thinks she’s on the bottom. Kelley said there was a disagreement between Abi and Peih-Gee.
Jeff sent them to vote one by one. Shirin voted for Spencer and Spencer voted for Shirin but whispered he knows she’s voting against him. The votes were: Spencer, Shirin, Shirin, Shirin, Spencer, Spencer, Spencer, Shirin, Shirin. That makes Shirin the second person to be voted out. She whispered to Spencer to give them hell.
There will be a first-ever tribe expansion next week as we go from two tribes to three. But as good as the news of the tribe reshuffling is for Spencer, it is that much more haunting for Shirin. Getting voted out right before a reshuffling is flat-out brutal. You are literally a day away from a completely new lease on life in the game.
As for Jeff Varner: He is a force to be reckoned with. The snag is: playing against him appears as scary as playingwithhim.
