Monday night highlights include:
Paxton Ingram (Team Blake): Totally ready to take it to the next level, he nailed “How Deep Is Your Love” (no, not the Bee Gees one). Not only were his notes on-point, but he managed to keep the performance strong throughout, even as he was zipping around the stage. In short, he worked it. Blake feels good about his chances of making it into the Top 12.
Ryan Quinn (Team Christina):The music teacher is keeping his calm and collected persona steady throughout the blinds, battles, and knockouts. But Christina asked him to reveal a deeper, more vulnerable side to himself, which included ripping off his glasses during his performance of Sam Smith’s “I’m Not the Only One.” Mission accomplished.
Katie Basden (Team Blake): Blake was hopeful that her rendition of “Georgia Rain” can help to show off her status as the “rangiest singer on the show.” While Adam’s eating his heart out for letting her go since she sounds like she’s already a veteran recording artist, Blake’s feeling positive that says she’s got the stuff to make it all the way.
Adam Wakefield (Team Blake): With a Chris Stapleton vibe Adam handily delivered on “Seven Spanish Angels” by Willie Nelson. “You’ve got a hell of a future in front of you, man,” Blake predicted.
Támar Davis (Team Christina): Támar Davis is definitely one of Christina’s favorites to help her break the “girl curse.” Belting Andra Day’s “Rise Up," Christina was floored by what she pulled off with her octave-jumping rendition.

Tuesday night was considerably less notable, with both Pharrell and Levine scoring memorable performances with some of their hopefuls. Chief among them:
Hannah Huston (Team Pharrell) – Tackling Aretha is no small feat, but there are always a few contestants who do it. Huston acquitted herself quite well.
Owen Danoff (Team Adam)– He performed a fairly obscure ditty with his usual brand of kind-eyed folkster beauty —there’s no way he won’t or shouldn’t advance come Wednesday night.
Shalyah Fearing (Team Adam) –My 13-year-old thinks this gal bested Beyonce herself with her hit from the "Dreamgirls" soundtrack, "Listen." The coaches and in-studio audience seemed to agree. Look out!
