The Voice Season 9 Odds to Win on NBC Monday; Blind - But Not Tone Deaf - Auditions

2015-The-Voice-Blind-Auditions-Odds

Only two episodes into this newseason, and it sure looks like Stefani has not returned just for the fun of it.

So far, she definitely has the most interesting team. Will she become the first femaleVoicecoach to score a finale victory, doing what Christina Aguilera and Shakira never could? Only time will tell.

However, the Team Gwen recruits weren’t the only singers who made a big impression during Tuesday’s Blind Auditions.

There was:

Blind Joe- None of the coaches knew about Joe’s blind-since-birth backstory when he hit the stage with his lap steel guitar and attacked the Steeldrivers’ “If It Hadn’t Been for Love.” Joe’s vocal style wasn't as showboating as I anticipated, but his performance had a certain raspy, rootsy charm.
MEMBER OF: Team Blake (Who else?)

Ivonne Acero- A 17-year-old fruit-farm worker holdover from last season, when she sang Colbie Caillat’s “Try,” she could be America’s new sweetheart. Pharrell turned, as did Gwen. Ivonne chose Pharrell, which might not have been the best move. We'll see. MEMBER OF: Team Pharrell

Regina Love- The 51-year-old gospel singer and radio personality, who was once signed to Evander Holyfield’s Real Deal label before it folded, showed up with Holyfield!

MEMBER OF: Team Adam

Zach Seabaugh- 16-year-old country singer Zach got Pharrell, Adam Levine, andBlake all to turn.

MEMBER OF: Team Blake

Evan McKeel- Evan is an all-American boy with a heart of gold who entertains Alzheimer’s patients at an old folks’ home.

MEMBER OF: Team Pharrell

Emily Ann Roberts- Emily is reminiscent of Danielle Bradbury, which, let's face it, is not a bad thing

MEMBER OF: Team Blake

Ellie Lawrence- Total small-town indie-rock misfit vibe, with an ethereal and refreshingly original take on Jermaine Stewart’s ‘80s club classic “We Don’t Have to Take Our Clothes Off.”

MEMBER OF: Team Gwen

Noah Jackson, Tim Atlas & Hannah Ashbrook- Montaged.
MEMBERS OF: Team Gwen

James Dupré- A few years ago, this guy's YouTube fame led to spot on Ellen DeGeneres’s afternoon talk show, which led to a Warner Nashville deal… but then his career stalled and he was dropped. Now, like so many other veteran contestants, he’s turning to TheVoice for a second chance.

MEMBER OF: Team Adam

So to recap, Team Adam has Regina Love, James Dupré, Keith Semple, and Jordan Smith; Team Blake has Blind Joe, Zach Seabaugh, Emily Ann Roberts, Nadjah Nicole, and Barrett Baber; Team Pharrell has Ivonne Acero, Evan McKeel, Mark Hood, and Siahna Im; and Team Gwen has Ellie Lawrence, Noah Jackson, Tim Atlas, Hannah Ashbrook, Kota Wade, and Braiden Sunshine.
