Arkansas Razorbacks at Tennessee Volunteers live wagering on ESPN2 Saturday

Remember when Bret Bielema opened up his mouth about Ohio State's schedule? At least the Buckeyes are winning games. Ever since Bielema's snide comments, the Razorbacks are 0-3, and all of a sudden, they are very likely not going to make it to a bowl game. It's starting to look highly unlikely that they stand any chance in their first legit road game of the year at the Tennessee Volunteers.

WHEN THE ARKANSAS RAZORBACKS HAVE THE BALL

The Razorbacks aren't winning games because they aren't running the darn ball. Last week against Texas A&M, they were modestly successful because Alex Collins got the rock in his gut 26 times, while Brandon Allen only threw it 25 times. But when the going got tough, Bielema called passes on second, third and fourth down, accounting for two of Allen's five incompletions.

Here's all you need to know in live betting in Arkansas games. When the Hogs run the ball, they can score. When they don't run the ball, they aren't going to be all that successful.

The Volunteers have had a history of allowing backs to run wild on them as well. Kelvin Taylor had 102 yards last week against this defense, while Oklahoma ran the ball a total of 48 times for 161 yards a few weeks ago.

What's worse are all of the huge plays that Florida and Oklahoma had against this unit late in games in which the Vols were ahead. Both games should've been won, and this should be a Top 15 team at the moment, but instead, UT is just 2-2 and is probably already out of the national spotlight for the rest of the year.

WHEN THE TENNESSEE VOLUNTEERS HAVE THE BALL

The fact of the matter is that the Vols are better served when they are running the ball, too. Alvin Kamara has fallen off the face of the earth after a great first game, but Jalen Hurd continues to be effective, while Joshua Dobbs has actually excelled more as a rusher than as a passer.

The real problem this offense has is a lack of killer instinct. Whereas the Razorbacks need to run the ball more, the Volunteers probably need to throw it a little more successfully. No receiver on this team has even 100 yards, and Pig Howard still only has one catch for eight yards.

If the Vols get ahead in this game, live bettors need to be prepared for Arkansas to come back thanks to their conservative play calling.

TREND TO TRACK

The Volunteers are already 0-2 SU and ATS this season against Power 5 teams, and they are now just 1-4 ATS and 2-3 SU against them dating back to last season. This has to be a major concern for Butch Jones, knowing that his seat could get a little toasty if the Vols don't get back in the Top 25 at some point this year and at least be somewhat competitive in the SEC.

We know that Arkansas has had all sorts of problems winning SEC games as well, going just 2-19 in its last 21 conference games overall, but this is a spot where live bettors have to be aware that an upset is at least in the realm of possibility. When you're dealing with a lot of points like the Hogs are getting at +6.5, you really need to be aware that there are going to be opportunities in live betting.
