Georgia’s 7-0 start has vaulted it to the No. 3 ranking while Florida is sitting at .500 as it struggles to put up points on a consistent basis. The Gators have traditionally gotten the better of this matchup but the Bulldogs will enter as heavy favorites and will aim to take care of business.
This contest in Week 9 of the regular season will go down Saturday, October 28, 2017, at 3:30 p.m. ET at EverBank Field.

Odds Analysis
This is a big spread for a Georgia team that is playing away from home. However, the betting public believes in the Bulldogs as more than 76 percent of the action is on Georgia to cover.
The scoring total is really low as Florida has all sorts of problems scoring in 2017 and Georgia’ defense has been stingy.
Georgia is the -550 favorite in this matchup while Florida is listed as the +416 underdog. Eighty percent of the action is on the Bulldogs on the moneyline even though it’s not a great payout.
Matchup To Watch
Georgia running game vs. the Florida defense -- The Bulldogs have done really well this season in large part due to their dominant ground attack. Georgia is averaging 282.9 rushing yards per game and three different players are heavily contributing.
Nick Chubb leads the way with 107 carries for 688 yards and eight touchdowns. Sony Michel has added 68 carries for 492 yards and six touchdowns, while D’Andre Swift has 358 rushing yards at an 8.5-yards-per-carry clip.
Georgia is averaging 5.8 yards per carry as a team and if Florida can’t slow down that attack it’s going to be a long day. The Gators are giving up 143.8 rushing yards per game and would be happy with a number similar to that in this one.
Player To Watch
Feleipe Franks -- The Gators’ quarterback has to get something going for his team to have any shot at the upset. Franks has some talent but is still young and learning on the job.
He has made too many mistakes which has helped led to offensive inconsistency. Franks is 68-of-106 passing for 800 yards with four touchdowns and three interceptions on the season.
Georgia is only giving up 12.6 points per game on the year and just 170.6 yards per game through the air. Frank only has one touchdown pass in the past three games combined.
Florida has been close in its past two games but hasn’t been able to win games against LSU or Texas A&M because the Gators couldn’t come up with critical scores late. It seems like this will be too tough of a task as well.
Free ATS Pick
Georgia has been great this year with dominant numbers on both sides of the ball. Florida is good on defense but doesn’t have the other element. Expect the Gators’ defense to eventually get worn down as Georgia should be able to run away with this one.
Florida’s season has not gone as planned and there is going to be more disappointment in this one. Take the Bulldogs to win the game and cover the spread with the blowout win. The “over” is the choice as a late score will help push it over the edge.
Georgia is squarely in the mix for the College Football Playoff. Its candidacy will be determined down the line with some tough matchups, and for now the team will remain undefeated.
