The Louisville Cardinals may not be in the national championship conversation any longer, but they have still put together a nice season. They will aim to wrap up the regular season on a high note and set themselves up for a strong bowl game. Louisville will hit the road to face off against the Kentucky Wildcats in Week 14 of the college football season.
Even though the Wildcats are playing at home, they will be the underdogs in this matchup as their program has perennially struggled to compete with talented foes. Louisville’s offense is one of the nation’s best and Kentucky would be hard-pressed to slow it down.
This contest in Week 14 of the regular season will go down Saturday, November 25, 2017, at 12 p.m. ET at Commonwealth Stadium.

Odds Analysis
Louisville is a strong favorite on the road, but the betting public thinks this spread is a bit too large as the Wildcats are securing about 56 percent of the action to cover. The scoring total is really high because of the Cardinals’ propensity to score points in bunches, and the “over” is still the more popular choice as nearly 77 percent of the action believes there will be even more points than forecasted.
Louisville is listed as the -360 favorite on the moneyline, while Kentucky is the +289 underdog. Kentucky is getting 80 percent of the action on the moneyline since it pays off handsomely as the home underdog.
Player To Watch
Lamar Jackson -- The Cardinals’ dual-threat quarterback continues to light up his college competition. Jackson has thrown for 3,273 yards with 23 touchdowns against six interceptions on the year while adding 190 carries for 1,287 yards and 17 scores.
Jackson has been one of the most dynamic players in college football the past couple of years, and while he isn’t the front-runner for the Heisman because his team has four losses, he is still a great player.
Kentucky is giving up 413 yards per game and Jackson should be able to take advantage and have a big day in this one. It’s easy for a defense to say it wants to control Jackson but that’s much harder to do in reality.
Key Stat
Three. That’s the number of losses in Kentucky’s past five games played. The Wildcats started the season really impressively with a 5-1 record, with the only loss by one point to a ranked Florida team.
However, Kentucky has not been able to sustain that as it has since lost games to Mississippi State, Ole Miss and Georgia. The Wildcats are still 7-4 on the season, which is a solid mark for their program, but a season that was hoping to be special has fallen off lately.
An upset of Louisville to close the regular season would be a great way to bounce back, but it won’t be easy even playing at home.
Free ATS Pick
The Cardinals have some holes and have lost four games this season, but have the best player on the field. Jackson is so dynamic that he is capable of lifting the team even despite a sometimes suspect defense.
Kentucky isn’t super explosive offensively and has had to scratch out the majority of its wins this year. The Cardinals have the better personnel and should be able to go on the road and come away with the victory.
This is a well-marked spread as Louisville should come away with a win but won’t cruise. Take the Cardinals to get a late score to not only ice the win but also cover the spread. The “over” is the call as this one is not going to have any shortage of points.
