The oddsmakers are putting the pressure on with this line, as Notre Dame will really need to excel in order to cover with a win by more than three touchdowns. Even so, more than 57 percent of the money has gone to Notre Dame to cover this spread, which isn’t a huge surprise considering its massive fanbase.

The Fighting Irish has not given up more than 20 points in a game this season, and that’s impressive considering two of the opponents were Michigan State and a ranked Georgia squad. Miami does not have a great offense and it could be hard-pressed to score consistently in this one.
Player to Watch
Brandon Wimbush -- Notre Dame’s quarterback has had some good and some bad moments in his first year at the helm. Wimbush has thrown for 664 yards and is only completing 54 percent of his passes with three touchdowns and two interceptions.
While those numbers are below average, Wimbush has been extremely impressive on the ground, carrying the ball 57 times for 366 yards and a team-high seven touchdowns.
Miami of Ohio would love to force Wimbush to stay in the pocket, but that is much easier said than done.
