The Ohio State Buckeyes could be the best two-loss team in the country. WIll that be enough to make the College Football Playoff? It’s too early to tell, but one thing Ohio State knows is it can’t afford to fall again. The Michigan Wolverines would like nothing more than to spoil those chances when the bitter rivals face off in Week 14 of the regular season.
Michigan is 8-3 on the season and playing at home, but Ohio State is 9-2 and has been much more impressive. Not surprisingly, the Buckeyes are listed as heavy road favorites as they have the more dynamic offense. The Wolverines hope to keep this a lower scoring game but that’s going to be a tough task.
While these titanic programs are down a little bit this season, they are still among the best in college football and there is a lot on the line in this showdown.
This contest in Week 14 of the regular season will go down Saturday, November 25, 2017, at 12 p.m. ET at Michigan Stadium.

Odds Analysis
The Buckeyes are big favorites considering Michigan is a talented foe. Even so, more than 74 percent of the action is on Ohio State to cover this spread. The scoring total is lower than Ohio State is used to but that’s because Michigan tends to play in defensive battles. The “under” is the more popular play as more than 76 percent of the betting action is leaning that way.
The Buckeyes are listed as -450 favorites on the moneyline and are getting 80 percent of the action. Michigan is the +351 underdog to pull off the upset at home.
Injury Report
Michigan has a quarterback position that is in a lot of flux. Starting signal-caller WIlton Speight suffered a neck injury early which has knocked him out of action and he isn’t expected to return for his one. John O’Korn took over but wasn’t very effective and was replaced by Brandon Peters.
While Peters’ numbers haven’t been overwhelming, he has been solid enough to let Michigan’s defense and running game to take over and lead the team to wins. However, he suffered a concussion last time out against Wisconsin and is now in the protocol.
If Peters and Speight aren’t ready to go, O’Korn figures to be the starter. He has not been good this season, completing 66-of-124 passes for 761 yards with one touchdown and five interceptions. The Wolverines have a solid team overall but the quarterback issues make them the underdog in this one.
Player To Watch
J.T. Barrett -- It feels like the Ohio State quarterback has been around forever, and that experience should serve him well in this rivalry game. Barrett has been impressive this season, throwing for 2,698 yards with 32 touchdowns and seven interceptions.
Barrett is also a threat with his legs, rushing for 50 yards or more in seven games on the year. Michigan has an elite defense, but it must be disciplined because Barrett has the capability to keep plays alive and make something out of nothing.
Barrett has thrown six interceptions in his past three games and only one the rest of the season, and the Wolverines would love to force him into more mistakes.
Free ATS Pick
Ohio State has a huge advantage at quarterback, and that is the difference in this one. If Barrett is on his game, it’s hard to imagine Michigan totally shutting him down. On the flip-side, the Buckeyes are only allowing 19.8 points per contest and the Wolverines could struggle to move the ball.
This spread is too high because Michigan is talented enough everywhere besides quarterback to hang around, but take Ohio State to win while the Wolverines cover.
College Football Odds: Ohio State 27, Michigan 20
