College Football Betting – Top 25 Odds and Matchups

Hey Maryland and USC, thanks for playing. After entering the top-25 last week those two fell out of the rankings with lackluster losses, opening the door for a few other schools to crack into the poll. The bottom of the top-25 will probably change every week with teams waiting on the doorstep while others falter. A pair of Pac-12 teams snuck into the rankings this week with Cal at No. 23 and Arizona State at No. 24. TCU also cracked the top-25 entering as the final team in the rankings.

While we had activity at the bottom of the rankings the top of the list remained virtually unchanged. There will be movement in the poll this week, however, with three huge matchups between ranked foes. Two of those games will also affect conference standings. A big Big Ten battle takes place in Madison when No. 11 Michigan takes on No. 13 Wisconsin. The SEC West has No. 8 Auburn as a 4-point road dog to No. 17 Texas AM, and No. 7 Notre Dame is getting 14-points for its tilt between the hedges with No. 3 Georgia.

Two top-25 teams are in action on Friday, September 20, to get the betting week started. No. 10 Utah is laying 4-points for its Pac-12 opener against USC. Meanwhile, current college football odds have No. 20 Boise State as 8-point chalk against Air Force. Here is the top-25 schedule and odds for Week 4 of the college football season. BookMaker.eu will have spreads and totals for every game throughout the 2019 season.

The Sun Devils went on the road and beat Michigan State outright as a 15.5-point dog, knocking Sparty out of the top-25. ASU opens league play this week at home against Colorado laying 7-points on the opening line. We’ll see just how good Cal is this week with a date against Ole Miss in Oxford. The Golden Bears got by North Texas last week failing to cover the 14.5-point line in their 23-17 win. They also have a win over FCS UC Davis in another cover loss. Their big win was an upset of Washington two weeks ago in a weather delayed contest. The Bears are getting 2-points on the current college football betting lines.

We don’t anticipate a change among the top-4 in the rankings with No. 1 Clemson the biggest favorite among ranked teams on the board. The Tigers took care of nemesis Syracuse last week, covering the 28-point closing line in a 41-6 thumping. No. 2 Alabama beat South Carolina 47-23 last week but failed to cover the 25.5-point line. The Tide has lost two straight ATS and has another hill to climb giving 38.5 points to Southern Miss.

No. 7 Notre Dame has a glorious opportunity to improve its national ranking with the game of the week at No. 3 Georgia on Saturday. The Irish are getting 14-points on the current college football line and history isn’t on their side. Since 2004 the Irish have been a road dog of 13 or more points 10 times posting a 1-9 SU record. And the Bulldogs are coming off a 55-0 thrashing of Arkansas State last week, covering the 32.5-point line by halftime. The Dogs have outscored their three opponents 148-23.
