College Football Odds - Big 12 College Football Roundup - Week 4

Big-12-Roundup-bm-ncaaf

Last week was a bad week for the Big 12 Conference. Oklahoma got crushed by Ohio State and Texas lost at California. OU and Texas gave the Big 12 a shot at a National Championship, but now, their is no hope. The only team’s left undefeated in the conference are the Baylor Bears and West Virginia Mountaineers. It does not look good as far as the National Championship picture. It still is early in the season and a lot can change in the coming weeks, but the Big 12 will have to wait another year for any of their teams to make the BCS playoffs. It is a down year in the Big 12!

There are two intriguing games this week. Baylor is at home playing Oklahoma State and West Virginia plays BYU in Morgantown.

Texas, Oklahoma, Kansas and Texas Tech are all OFF this week.

BIG 12 GAME OF THE WEEK

Saturday, September 24, 2016

Oklahoma State Cowboys +7.5 at Baylor Bears -7.5, Total 76
McLane Stadium, Waco, Texas - 7:30 p.m., ET - FOX

There is a lot of movement on both the game line and game total for this game. BookMaker sportsbook opened up the line with Baylor favored by 9.5-points and a game total of 73. The current lines are Baylor by 7.5-points and the total has climbed to 76. Both teams have weak defenses and high powered offenses. It would not surprise me to see the game total go up even more, Baylor is unproven, with a new head coach, but playing at home. Oklahoma State has a solid ball club and will score enough points to keep it close and may even win the game. Start your week off right by betting a two-team parlay. I like the OVER and I love the DOG!

Other BIG 12 games - Week 4 - Odds courtesy of BookMaker Sportsbook

BYU Cougars +7 at West Virginia Mountaineers -7, Total 51
FedEx Field, Morgantown, West Virginia - 3:30 p.m., ET - ESPN2

Here is another game with a lot of movement. The game total opened up at 48 and is currently up to 51. A few years ago if these two teams were matched up the total would have been 75, but both teams have question marks on offense and pretty stout defenses. Both teams will run the ball and waiting for the other to make a mistake to capitalize. Run, run, tick-tock, tick-tock. I am going against the move and backing the UNDER!

San Jose Spartans +6.5 at Iowa State Cyclones -6.5, Total 54
Jack Trice Stadium, Ames, Iowa - NOON, ET - FSN

How can Iowa State be favored over anyone? And by almost a touchdown. They lost to UNI in week one, got crushed by inter-state rival Iowa in week two and lost last week by three touchdowns to TCU. They are a bad football team. When two bad teams play, I always take the DOG.

Missouri State Bears at Kansas State Wildcats , Total NL
Bill Snyder Family Football Stadium, Manhattan, Kansas - 7:10 p.m., ET -

There is no line for this game. Check back on gameday and BookMaker sportsbook will have a line. Kansas State will roll by 28.

Friday, September 23, 2016

TCU Horned Frogs -21 at SMU Mustangs +21, Total 65
Gerald J. Ford Stadium, Dallas, Texas - 8:00 p.m., ET - ESPN

The battle of Dallas, Texas gets underway Friday night. The TCU Horned Frogs are heavy favorites even though their offense has struggled to get into gear thus far this season, but a matchup against a bad SMU team should do the trick. TCU’s offense finally looks good and puts up a crooked number on the shabby Mustangs defense. TCU 49, SMU 21.

Check back next week for all the coverage of the Big 12 Conference.
