Where has the season gone? It seems like the season just started and now there is only 3-4 weeks left. It boils down to this in the conference; Ohio State controls its own destiny - if they win out, they go to the Big Ten Championship game in Indy, however, they still have to play Michigan State and Michigan and that’s where it gets a bit tricky. If Michigan upsets the Buckeyes then they will represent the East division and play most likely Iowa in the big game. If Michigan State beats Ohio State, they will have the inside track. The Hawkeyes have basically a two game lead on Wisconsin in the West division.
As it stands, Ohio State, Michigan State or Michigan will square off against the Iowa Hawkeyes in the Big Ten Championship game.
Big Ten play continues into Week 10 with mostly uneven matchups and a few meaningless game. Things heat up next week when Ohio State plays Michigan State. Let’s take a look at this week’s games. All odds taken from BookMaker.eu.

ODDS ANALYSIS
Saturday, November 14, 2015
Ohio State Buckeyes -16
Illinois Fighting Illini +16
Over/Under 55.5
Noon, ET - ABC
J.T. Barrett is back at QB this week for the Ohio State Buckeyes and boy do they need him. It was painful to watch Cardale Jones play last Saturday - he looked slow and rusty. Barrett had to serve a one game suspension and now will retain his role as the starting quarterback. The game total opened at 51.5 and shot up to 55.5 shortly after Urban Meyer named Barrett the starter. Illinois will be ready for this game and put points on the board but in the end, Barrett and the Buckeyes will find a way to pull away late and keep their title hopes alive. Buckeyes win 45-28.
Maryland Terrapins +15.5
Michigan State Spartans -15.5
Over/Under 57
Noon, ET - ESPN2
I wouldn’t want to play the Spartans this week. They will be angry after blowing a 12 point lead, late in the fourth to lose to Nebraska last week. Sparty better get it together quickly as a date with Ohio State looms.
Maryland can score, but it’s their defense that is holding them back, giving up close to 45 points a game in conference play. Sparty gets back on track and wins by 3 touchdowns.
Purdue Boilermakers +16
Northwestern Wildcats -16
Over/Under 49
Noon, ET - BTN
This game could be a shutout! Purdue struggles on the road and with the weather turning cold in the Midwest, this game sets up for a low-scoring dominating win for the home team. Northwestern puts the hammer down and routs Purdue, 34-6.
Nebraska Cornhuskers -9
Rutgers Scarlet Knights +9
Over/Under 65.5
3:30 p.m., ET - BTN
If the weather cooperates, this game will be one of the highest scoring affairs on the board. Both teams have high powered offenses and both teams have weak defenses which adds up to a game in the 80’s. I am not sure which Nebraska team will show up so I am staying away from the point spread, but the total of 65.5 will be eclipsed late in the third quarter. OVER!
Michigan Wolverines -12.5
Indiana Hoosiers +12.5
Over/Under 57
3:30 p.m., ET - ABC/ESPN2
Jim Harbaugh’s Michigan team gets better every week and will manhandle the under-sized Indiana team. The Wolverines offense is finally starting to turn the corner and score a lot of points, while the defense is one of the best in the country. This game won’t even be close. Michigan wins, 48-17.
Minnesota Gophers +12.5
Iowa Hawkeyes -12.5
Over/Under 45.5
8:00 p.m., ET - BTN
The Iowa Hawkeyes are winning games, it’s not pretty, but they win every week. The Hawkeyes are ranked No. 5 in the country and most of the experts think they are over-rated. They didn’t have Michigan, Michigan State or Ohio State on their schedule this year which obviously was a huge break, but they are undefeated and have a solid football team. This game is a big rival game and I think Minnesota will keep the game close.
