Mike Gundy continues to be one of the most underappreciated coaches in America. He's got a great amount of resources with the Oklahoma State Cowboys, but no matter how hard Boone Pickens tries, he's never going to be able to fund his alma mater the way that Oklahoma or Texas boosters are able to do so for those schools.

Oklahoma State Under 9.5 Wins ( -230 )
Oklahoma State has won at least 10 games in two of its last three seasons, and Mason Rudolph was a big part of adding to that mark last year. He only threw for 21 TDs, but he also had 3,770 yards through the air to boot. He's got one of the best receiving corps in the Big XII to work with, and James Washington should end up being an all-conference performer after averaging a whopping 20.5 yards per catch last year to go with 10 TDs.
These two are two of the 10 men who are back from an offense which largely overachieved by averaging 479.7 yards and 39.5 points per game last season, though now, vast improvement is going to be expected.
The defense wasn't great last year, and this year probably won't be an exception to that rule either. Sure, there are eight returners from last year's 'D' led by Jordan Sterns, one of the top safeties in the conference. The first thought which has to come to mind when glancing at this schedule is the fact that this club could reasonably be 10-0 and be a Top 5 team in the land by the time it goes on the road for visits to TCU and Oklahoma to end the regular season. A road game at Baylor isn't a walk in the park, but the fact that it comes so early in the season might end up playing into the team's hands with the Bears undergoing so many changes under new coach Jim Grobe.
That said, it has to be daunting to have to play on the road against each of the three best teams in the conference. There's no doubt that there are nine should-be wins on this docket. The question is going to be whether the Pokes can get two wins beyond that to make them legitimate contenders to reach the New Year's Six, if not the CFP.
QUICK PICK
The Cowboys are legit this year. We think they're going to end up falling short at the end of the year, but they'll beat at least one of Baylor, TCU or Oklahoma, and that should be good enough to get them to 10 wins.
This defense is going to once again be better than advertised, especially with six senior starters, and the offense has always been a strong suit of Gundy. Rudolph should be in for another stellar season, and the rest of his mates on this offense should make this unit one of the most feared in the Big XII and the nation. Consider us buyers.
