College Football Week 11 Odds Report, Line Movement

Week-11-Odds-Movement-Odds

We've essentially be whittled down to about a dozen teams with any realistic chance of getting into the College Football Playoff. There will clearly be some more separation in Week 11 as well.

Ohio State vs. Illinois, Saturday 12:00 p.m. ET

Opening College Football Odds: Ohio State -17
Current College Football Odds: Ohio State -15

Two points isn't a huge swing in a betting line, but considering the fact that over 80 percent of the bets in this game have been on OSU is a telling tale. The Illini, who, by the way are 5-4 in case you didn't notice, are tremendously sharp, and with J.T. Barrett a real question mark on the field after his horrid decisions off of it, there seems to be a quiet confidence amongst the pros that Illinois has a chance to replicate last week's damage to the Big Ten when Nebraska pulled off the win against Michigan State.

Kentucky vs. Vanderbilt, Saturday 4:00 p.m. ET

Opening College Football Odds: Over/Under 36.5
Current College Football Odds: Over/Under 40.5

By percentages, this line has shot up by over 10 percent, the equivalent of a seven-point line move against a total of 70, and that's what really makes this notable. Vanderbilt has consistently had no offense whatsoever this year, and last week's total offensive output against Florida was basically condensed into one 70+ yard touchdown run by Ralph Webb. Still, bettors see the defense for Kentucky, one which has struggled mightily at times. That's why this total has come up quite dramatically.

BYU vs. Missouri, Saturday 7:30 p.m. ET

Opening College Football Odds: BYU -3.5
Current College Football Odds: BYU -7

This was easy to see coming. The Tigers are amongst the worst offensive teams in America, and they are coming into this week with all of the news surrounding their boycott of the football program until Missouri's president either was fired or resigned. That mess is past, but there's a real question whether there's any hope for Gary Pinkel to get this team back to football now. It's really highly unlikely for that to happen. Remember too, that this game isn't played on campus in Columbia, rather up the road at Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City. It's not shaping up to be a good day for the 'Zou.

Arkansas vs. LSU, Saturday 7:15 p.m. ET

Opening College Football Odds: LSU -8.5
Current College Football Odds: LSU -7

Another game which makes you go "Hmm…" The Bayou Bengals have already proven to us that they're second best in the SEC West at absolute best, as Alabama wrecked them last weekend. Arkansas has a great history in this series, and it is coming off of a big win over Auburn from last week. If the Tigers have a bit of a hangover here, this rivalry game could become very dangerous, and there could be a legitimate reason for this spread to dip to just a touchdown in spite of the fact that LSU is garnering around 65 percent of the bets.

Oklahoma vs. Baylor, Saturday 8:00 p.m. ET

Opening College Football Odds: Baylor -5
Current College Football Odds: Baylor -2.5

The Big XII's round-robin death match continues this Saturday in Waco where Baylor, playing with a true freshman quarterback in Jarrett Stidham for the very first time in a massive, primetime game. Oklahoma already has one loss this NCAAF season, and a second would be the end of its championship run. That's the big reason why bettors have circled this game as a potential upset in favor of the Sooners. Don't be surprised if this line keeps dropping and perhaps even ultimately flips to OU as the favorite with as well as Baker Mayfield has been playing.
