College Football Week 11 Opening Odds Report

2016-College-Football-Week-11-Opening-Odds-Report-Online

Last week, we started our introduction by mentioning that 12 of the Top 25 teams in America were playing on the road and that someone was going to get picked off. That someone was Texas A&M, ending its National Championship dreams. Will more hopes be shattered in Week 11 now that there is almost a clear path for a two-loss team to potentially sneak into this field should any of the Top 4 drop an unexpected game between now and the first Saturday of December?

Games of the Week

Auburn at Georgia – Saturday 3:30 p.m. ET

With only one game between Top 25 teams this week, we've got to assess some potential upsets. Here's one in the SEC between Auburn and Georgia. The Bulldogs are coming off of a really good and underrated win over Kentucky last week, while Auburn has been playing some of the best football in the nation.

That said, the Tigers showed some signs last week of rust against Vanderbilt and need to rebound quickly. They've still got two really nasty road games left against UGA and Alabama, and it's easy to just assume that the Iron Bowl is going to end up being the end all, be all of the campaign.

But Sony Michel and Nick Chubb might very well have other ideas, and they could come up with a big game here to put a lot of strain on dinged up Sean White and the Auburn attack. The Tigers can play for sure, and they're a lot better now than when they lost to Clemson and Texas A&M at the start of the year, but this is treacherous territory for sure in Athens.

USC at Washington – Saturday 7:30 p.m. ET

If you're looking for the game that Washington could lose this year, this is the one. If the Huskies do end up losing this one, look the heck out, as all hell could break loose in the rankings and all sorts of teams you probably wrote off could be back into the mix.

The Huskies are good for sure, but they haven't played a team quite like USC yet. Yes, Utah is a good team, too, but it doesn't have as much legitimate NFL talent on it is as the Men of Troy are going to be bringing to Seattle. Sam Darnold has come on strong in recent weeks, and Ronald Jones and JuJu Smith-Schuster are going to be playing on Sundays soon. That type of talent can cause all sorts of havoc.

There's definitely a reason that USC is only +8, insinuating that it would just about be favored if this game was being played at the Coliseum.
