GAME OF THE WEEK
There are so many great games to pick from this week, but the game which really catches our eye is the duel between Florida State and Florida.
The Gators have clearly been second best in the Sunshine State these last couple of years to the Seminoles, but this is a chance to turn the tide. Florida has the home field advantage in this one, and it has a legitimate chance to get to the College Football Playoff yet.
Florida State's season came to a close for playoff purposes when it was beaten by Clemson a few weeks back, but there is a really good argument as to who the better of these two teams really are. Neither of these teams have a great offense, and both have an outstanding defense which has led the way.
The Seminoles have won two games in a row in this series, and they have to be confident of their ability to go to the Swamp and steal a victory, especially since they opened up at a pick 'em.
WEEK 13 COLLEGE FOOTBALL ODDS NOTES
-Because it's Rivalry Week, the point spreads are all particularly close. These instate or regional foes always want to get the best of the other, and no matter the spread, anything can and often does happen. That said, Oregon is still a massive favorite in the Civil War against Oregon State at -33.5, making it the biggest favorite of the week.
-There are a few division titles which have to be handed out this week. Often times, teams which have that much on the line tend to play a little tighter.
-Temple is only -12 against Connecticut in a game it must win to clinch the AAC East.
-Oklahoma and Oklahoma State are playing against each other in an elimination game in the Big XII. The Sooners are laying 4.5 in Bedlam.
-Michigan State needs to beat Penn State in a game which is off the board to win the Big Ten East.
-Louisiana Tech is -6 at home against Southern Miss in a game which will decide the West Division of Conference USA.
-Northern Illinois is set at -13 against Ohio. The Huskies need to win this one to reach the MAC Championship Game.
-USC and UCLA will not only fight it out for supremacy in LA, but also for the Pac-12 South championship. The Trojans are set at -3.
-Alabama also has to fend off Auburn to win the SEC West and keep its hopes alive for the College Football Playoff. The Crimson Tide are laying 13 at Jordan Hare.
