Memphis vs. South Florida, Friday 7:00 p.m. ET

Opening College Football Odds: Memphis -12.5 Current College Football Odds: Memphis -8.5

My, how sharp South Florida is! This is definitely one of those games where the antenna should be up on bettors. The Tigers are certainly perceived to be the better of these two teams by a country mile, and that's why they opened as double-digit favorites. However, not only has this spread dipped four full points to -8.5, but 74 percent of the betting action has been on Memphis as well. It doesn't get much sharper than this.

Wyoming vs. Appalachian State, Saturday 3:30 p.m. ET

Opening College Football Odds: Appalachian State -19.5 Current College Football Odds: Appalachian State -24.5

A five-point line move is certainly a notable one no matter how small the game is. You'll be hard-pressed to find anyone who can name a single player on either side of this game, but it all pays out the same to bettors. Granted, it helps that the two games the Mountaineers played against not-so-serious foes ended with matching 49-0 score lines, while it also helps that the Cowboys are 0-4. Let's not forget that Eastern Michigan beat this Wyoming outfit 48-29 when it was a 13-point underdog in Week 2, and North Dakota won 24-13 as an 18-point underdog in Week 1.

Louisville vs. N.C. State, Saturday 12:30 p.m. ET

Opening College Football Odds: Over/Under 54 Current College Football Odds: Over/Under 47.5

Sometimes, Mother Nature has a plan for sporting events, and football is no exception. Hurricane Joaquin is about set to soak the East Coast of the United States, and that's making life really difficult on total bettors for games played up and down the seaboard. The number has already plummeted a touchdown in the Louisville/N.C. State game, and it wouldn't be surprising if that number continued to come down, maybe even as low as the low-40s by the time this one kicks off, if it even does get started on Saturday.

UCF vs. Tulane, Saturday 12:00 p.m. ET

Opening College Football Odds: UCF -3 Current College Football Odds: Tulane -2

Poor, UCF. The college already has a bar offering free beer during Knights games until they actually win one this year. That's how you know things are bad. UCF can't get out of its own way offensively, which is why the team has dipped to an underdog on the road in just its second legit away contest of the season. We know that the Knights have some talent, and it doesn't feel like they should be dogs in this game against a hapless Tulane outfit, but until anyone sees something positive out of UCF, it's tough to get on the side of this club.

Texas Tech vs. Baylor, Saturday 3:30 p.m. ET

Opening College Football Odds: Over/Under 85.5

Current College Football Odds: Over/Under 89.5

It's not that this line move is so high that has us noting it. It's the fact that this very well could end up being the highest total in the history of college football by the time it kicks off. Sportsbooks in Las Vegas are reporting numbers as high as 90.5 in this one, and it's tough to argue the point. Both the Bears and the Red Raiders are going to run up and down the field, and the only justification for betting the under when both of these teams are comfortably averaging over 50 points per game is because this total is just ridiculously high. As a result, we only see the number moving up from here.

Oregon vs. Colorado, Saturday 10:00 p.m. ET

Opening College Football Odds: Oregon -11.5 Current College Football Odds: Oregon -7.5

Ah, the late-night degenerate special. You know it's coming. This is the vintage "go on tilt" game for square bettors who either did well over the course of the day and think they are going to double their profits or did poorly over the course of the day and think they can get it all back for this "easy game." Don't fall into the trap! The Ducks have fallen quite hard over the course of the last few weeks, from a Top 10 team with a legitimate shot to play in the College Football Playoff to one which has been completely forgotten after getting ripped by Utah at home last week. Colorado has gotten its act together and is at least somewhat viable in the Pac-12 this year, which makes this a very dangerous trip to Boulder for a reeling Oregon team.
