Week 5 in college football proved to be the craziest of the year to date, with a number of Top 10 teams falling flat. Line movements in the middle of the week gave us a clue about who was on upset alert, a tool which we will be using again in Week 6.

Oklahoma vs. Texas, Saturday 12:00 p.m. ET
Opening College Football Odds: Over/Under 63
Current College Football Odds: Over/Under 59.5
Have you seen what Texas has put on the field of late? The Longhorns have either had a miserable offense or a miserable defense in virtually all of their games this year, and that's why Charlie Strong is firmly on the hot seat coming into the Red River Rivalry. These two teams have a history of playing some lower scoring games, and Strong knows that he is going to have to make this game as short as possible to have an opportunity at the upset. That's why this total has come soaring down throughout the week in spite of the fact that Baker Mayfield might be running the scariest offense in the Big XII.
Maryland vs. Ohio State, Saturday 12:00 p.m. ET
Opening College Football Odds: Ohio State -29.5
Current College Football Odds: Ohio State -33
So Maryland has no idea who it wants to start at quarterback this week, and all reports suggest that Randy Edsall is set to get fired. Can you blame anyone for wanting to back the Buckeyes in this game? We know that Ohio State is capable of dropping a 60 burger on anyone which it plays, but we just haven't seen that explosiveness on display for anything but short spurts. The Bucks are actually a woeful ATS team at 0-4 ATS, but there is a lot of confidence in them right now against a completely dysfunctional Maryland outfit.
Wyoming vs. Air Force, Saturday 10:15 p.m. ET
Opening College Football Odds: Air Force -18.5
Current College Football Odds: Air Force -23
This is the second straight week there has been a huge move against the Cowboys. They overcame the odds last week when they covered against Appalachian State on the road in a 31-13 defeat. They've got a major line move again versus them the Falcons, who have covered three of their first four games of the year. They have really played well at home historically, and this could be a massive problem for Wyoming.
Massachusetts vs. Bowling Green, Saturday 2:00 p.m. ET
Opening College Football Odds: Over/Under 71
Current College Football Odds: Over/Under 79
Hello, eight-point line move. It isn't every day you see a line move eight points in any sport in any situation, but when you've got an offense like Bowling Green, anything can happen. Of course, it should be noted that the Falcons haven't scored 50+ points this year, something that might be a prerequisite to covering this spread and the over like so many believe will happen. UMass though, has a dreadful defense which has already allowed 48 to Colorado and 62 to Notre Dame. Seeing this game fly past the number, even this one which is eight points off of the opener, is entirely plausible.
Michigan State vs. Rutgers, Saturday 8:00 p.m. ET
Opening College Football Odds: Michigan State -16.5
Current College Football Odds: Michigan State -13.5
Bettors haven't stopped betting on Ohio State yet, but they have stopped betting on Michigan State. Both teams are winless for bettors on the season in spite of the fact that they are undefeated SU. Rutgers isn't exactly a great team for bettors, and the argument could be made that the dysfunction in that football program with Kyle Flood being suspended is too great to compete in a game like this one. But at least until Mark Dantonio proves that his crew really is good enough to cover these double-digit spreads, the message bettors are sending is certain. They aren't going to be wagering on Sparty.
