Games of the Week

Texas A&M at Alabama – Saturday 3:30 p.m. ET

For the third straight week, the showcase game is the SEC Game of the Week at 3:30 p.m. ET on CBS. The Crimson Tide and Aggies are both Top 10 teams, and winner of this one will clearly have an inside track to the College Football Playoff. It's also a big game because the loser will probably have no chance to win the SEC West, thus won't have a shot to play for the SEC Championship and will have a really hard time getting into the College Football Playoff.

The Aggies are 4-0 in the SEC, but this is a big step up in class for sure. This defense is really quite good in spite of its 437.5 yards per game allowed. All eyes are going to be on Trevor Knight as well, but the rushing game for the Aggies is legit as well at 274.3 yards per game.

But Alabama has scored more defensive and special teams touchdowns than it has allowed in touchdowns this year, and this doesn't even include an offense that's averaging 504.7 yards per game.

There's a reason Alabama is set at -16.5, one of the biggest spreads we've ever seen in a Top 10 showdown in sports betting history.

TCU at West Virginia – Saturday 3:30 p.m. ET

A mighty interesting battle here for West Virginia. The Big XII is still very much so up in the air with Baylor, West Virginia and Oklahoma all sporting spotless conference records, but little ol' TCU has been forgotten just a bit. The Horned Frogs already have two losses this season, but just one of those defeats is here in the Big XII.

In fact, the Horned Frogs are essentially looked upon as the better of the two teams here at just +5. If this game were to be played in Fort Worth, TCU would be the favorite by a relatively comparable margin.

This is really the first major, major test at home for the Mountaineers after playing against a relatively easy schedule. But if they get after Kenny Hill the way they did to Patrick Mahomes last week, this could become an interesting game. TCU has to make this one a shootout. West Virginia can win any type of game for sure.
