Games of the Week
Washington at Utah – Saturday 3:30 p.m. ET
Most are going to overlook this game between two of the legit Pac-12 contenders, but when you really look at the teams that have a real chance of reaching the College Football Playoff without a lot of insanity, Washington and Utah are amongst them, though both are going to have to go through each other, possibly even twice.
The Huskies have been blowing right through teams this year, but they haven't played on the road all that often and haven't been up against a team quite like this. These Utes have found ways to win relatively close games all season long, and with Kyle Whittingham calling the shots, this is going to be the best defense the Huskies have had to see.
U-Dub has deserved all sorts of respect here and is deservedly lined at -10.5, but this could be a heck of a game in Salt Lake City.
Nebraska at Wisconsin – Saturday 7 p.m. ET
With Ohio State losing last week, there's a real chance that a two-loss team could end up playing in the College Football Playoff. Wisconsin is the top two-loss team in America, and with some help, there's a chance that it could end up finishing at 11-2 with the Big Ten title, something that would make it hard to keep it out of the playoff.
That said, there's a long way to go at this point, and beating undefeated Nebraska is the first step. The Cornhuskers are totally being disrespected at this point by being lined at +8, but it's not like they've played against anyone at an elite level this year.
It's going to be up to the offense for Nebraska to figure out how to get something going against Wisconsin. The Badgers have played elite level defense all season long, and the Huskers haven't seen anything like this in the past. This is going to be a tremendous game at night in the Bounce House.
