The Florida State Seminoles are a Top 10 team by definition, but live bettors should be used to the same rigmarole against the Boston College Eagles they have had to get used to in recent years when the garnet and gold are on the field.
WHEN THE FLORIDA STATE SEMINOLES HAVE THE BALL
We've proven a few things this year about FSU already. Jameis Winston isn't walking through those doors, and Everett Golson isn't Jameis Winston.
What else we've proven is that the Noles are going to run Dalvin Cook until he falls apart. Cook already has 422 yards on the ground in just two games, and he was the most explosive player on the field last week against South Florida in a game which was otherwise incredibly drab.
With all of the power running by Cook and Mario Pender, the Seminoles are sure to be bleeding clock a ton. Even when Golson throws the ball, his passes have generally been short, which will allow BC to stack the box with eight guys if need be.
Under bettors should rejoice in live betting.
It's tough to gauge this Boston College defense right now. Yes, the team has allowed just three total points and 102 total yards of offense, but consider the fact that it has played against Maine and Howard, the latter game of which was basically mercy ruled by playing just 10 minute quarters in the third and the fourth.
WHEN THE BOSTON COLLEGE EAGLES HAVE THE BALL
It's just as hard to gauge the BC offense. What we know about this unit though, is that there is going to be plenty of running. Steve Addazio is a run-first type of coach, and he is going to want to make this game as short as possible to have any shot at winning.
It’s worth remembering though, that BC has five brand new starters along its offensive line. Florida State doesn't have a ton of experience up front, but these players in the front seven are explosive and have shown tremendous power. South Florida stood no chance blowing anyone in garnet and gold off of the ball last Saturday, and if Boston College has the same problems, it could be in for a long day offensively, and the under should once again be the right play.
Darius Wade has only averaged 6.2 yards per pass attempt against two horrible defenses. We can't imagine he's going to do a heck of a lot better in this one against the Seminoles.
TREND TO TRACK
We've been speaking a lot about the under in this one, and live bettors should know that all of the betting trends point towards a low-scoring game, too. Boston College is 20-8-2 towards the under in its last 30 games against teams with winning records.
Yes, two of the last three games between these two have flown past the total, but last season's 20-17 game was drab from the start and never got much better. Live bettors should probably expect much of the same.
