The 2015 Pinstripe Bowl offers up a battle between the Big Ten and ACC conferences. The Indiana Hoosiers and Duke Blue Devils square and yes it’s football, not basketball! You would think that this would be a great hoops game but no we are talking football and it is going to be a great game, maybe even a shootout.
Best known for their hardwood history, Indiana and Duke will square off on grass, at an iconic baseball stadium. The sixth annual Pinstripe Bowl features a couple of teams looking to step outside of their ‘basketball school’ reputations and show us what they have on the gridiron.
ODDS

Indiana Hoosiers -2
Duke Blue Devils +2
Game Total 71
Yankee Stadium, Bronx, New York

KEY MISMATCH
With over a month to prepare for this game, Duke head coach David Cutcliffe will have the right game plan to keep the Hoosiers horrific defense guessing and will have no problem putting points on the board. Indiana is giving up 37 points a game and can’t stop anyone. From the first game of the season when Southern Illinois put up 47 on IU, the defense has struggled to find their game.
Indiana’s offense is loaded with firepower. They averaged 36 points a game and is as well balanced as you will find scoring 25 touchdowns through the air and 24 on the ground. All-Big Ten linemen Jason Spriggs and Dan Feeney spearhead a veteran blocking unit that will blow a pedestrian Duke front seven off the ball.
The passing attack of QB Nate Sudfeld to receivers Simmie Cobbs and Ricky Jones will cause problems for a Duke secondary that has underachieved in 2015. Duke is banged up in the secondary and Sudfeld may be able to expose that and have a huge day.
ANALYSIS AND PREDICTION
The betting line opened up with Indiana favored by 2 with a game total of 71. Not a lot of movement on either which makes me believe that the public is weary of this game and doesn’t have a clue who to pick. The game total of 71 is one of the higher totals on the board, but with the inept Indiana defense and the Hoosiers electric offense, this total could go over in the third quarter. This game could hit 90 points or even higher, The play is on the OVER!
